A Delightful Collection of Sweet Treats for Any Afternoon
I recently picked up 100 Afternoon Sweets, and it has quickly become one of my favorite baking books. The recipes are perfect for anyone looking to indulge in a little something sweet without committing to a full-scale dessert. From light pastries to decadent cakes, this book offers a wide variety of treats that are simple enough for everyday baking but still feel special. What I love most is that the recipes are approachable, even for less experienced bakers, but they don’t sacrifice flavor. Each recipe is clearly written with easy-to-follow instructions, and the photos are gorgeous, making it even more tempting to try them all. I’ve made a few already, and the results have been delicious—my family couldn’t get enough of the lemon madeleines and the chocolate tartlets. Whether you’re hosting a small gathering or just want a sweet pick-me-up with your afternoon coffee, this book has something for every craving. If you enjoy baking simple yet elegant sweets, this one is a must-have!

Another 100 winner
I have all of her books now and find new things in each one I have to have. I saw the raspberry poppyseed cake listed in the index and knew I would try that one. I pictured a loaf cake for some reason - with raspberries inside. The cake is a square pan with the raspberries in the glaze. I decided to make it as written at least once, and we all loved it. I plan to make another with blueberries now. - then get on to the rest of the book.

Lots of tasty treats!
I have enjoyed all of the recipes I have made in this book. There are some unique ideas and twists for treats that I have especially enjoyed. None of them are healthy- they are heavy on the butter, but that's what makes them so tasty! When I want to bake a healthier treat I just reach for a different recipe.

Yummy Treats
This is a great group of recipes by the same person that writes the Vanilla Bean Blog. Nothing will disappoint.
