LimbO Waterproof Cast and Dressing Protector - Full Leg SLIM (M80LL: 39-51 cm Upper Thigh Circ. (5'0-6'0))

The hospital treating my wife’s broken wrist recommended this product. I decided to have a look on Amazon, and it was in stock, along with a massive range of alternatives, mostly all cheaper than the LimbO. However we stuck with the hospital recommendation , and we were very glad we did. The quality of the product is excellent. We expected a rather thin, polythene bag arrangement, but this is a thick, strong material, that you just know will keep that plaster cast dry. The seal around the arm is excellent too, without gripping too tight. An excellent design. Very easy to put on and tighten, and just as easy to remove. We hope we’ll never need another one, but if we did, we’d definitely buy another LimbO. Mind you this one will probably still be in perfect condition anyway!

These are great and made out of tough material. I've been using it for a couple of months and it hasn't developed any problems.

Used this product after falling and breaking my kneecap training for a charity run. It is essentially a large, waterproof sleeve that goes over the leg and allows you to shower both with a plastercast and a subsequent brace on, as I did. This was recommended to me by the technician who placed my leg in a plastercast as he felt there was no better alternative, after having worked for..40 years in this role for the NHS. It was a good recommendation, not only is it very comfortable and simple to slide on, it keeps the plastercast dry, which is essential. The rubber band that encircles the upper leg is tight enough to keep the leg dry and still remain comfortable, I went with a slightly larger legsize to enable me to pull the rubber band over the cast and this worked well. Once I had the plastercast removed, I found it very useful whilst I had my leg placed in a removable brace, it kept the bandages I had to wear over a large surgical scar both dry and clean, through preventing them getting wet in the shower. I was surprised at how safe I felt standing to shower too. As the plastic sleeve entirely envelops the leg and foot, I was hesitant to stand in a shower with a layer of plastic between my foot and the bath surface beneath it. I soon found I didn't have to worry, it was quite easy to place the injured leg on the bath surface without ever feeling I might slip, in fact it felt like there was more grip there. This product is simple to use, comfortable and enabled me to shower safely both with a plastercast on and the subsequent large plasters to cover the surgical scar once It was removed. An excellent product I'd recommend after having it recommended to me by someone with 40 years NHS experience in this area, I can't say more.

Hi Limbo team ,the protector was brilliant and i was able to shower at last and my dressing was kept completely dry. However, i am 5' 6" high with thigh circumference of 69 cm but the protector is far too long even though it states it is suitable for someone between 5' and 6'. I have found it to be a little dangerous getting in and out of the shower with the protector dragging on the floor and my restricted mobility. Have i ordered the wrong size? I do not want this review to appear negative because the Limbo is perfect for keeping my dressing dry but is there anything I can do?

Recently had an ACL reconstruction. In the pre-op the nurse told me about using bin bags and duct tape. A good idea, I thought. Then she said “you can get a special leg cover online but I wouldn’t waste your money”. I’m not messing about with bin bags and duct tape. If nothing else, I don’t want to look the checkout assistant in the eye when I attempt to buy those things. So this LimbO.... it’s really good. The neoprene stretchy collar works really well at maintaining a seal. The first time you use it, you’re convinced your leg is getting wet but sure enough, dry as a bone, 100% of the time. I used this for 3 weeks. It’s now folded up nicely for any time in the future when I’ll need it again. Marked 4 stars not 5 because I think for the want of a couple of long straps/handles on the side, I’d have been able to get this on right from the off, by myself. Instead, I had to ask my long suffering wife to come and help getting it on and off for the first few days. Marked 4 stars not 3 because this produced more than one opportunity to surprise my wife. This made me smile. My wife, not so much.

Excellent product. My daughter has broken both wrists and has dressings covering the operation stitches which she mustn't get wet. The Limbo is completely watertight and has meant she has been able to shower every day. So glad we were recommended to buy them by the nurse looking after her at the hospital.

Roughly, I'm not accredited for it but I used this for about a month without an issue, held up well and wasn't terrible to put on and off, even had a little functionality while showering. Putting on is easy, slide the cast and your arm into the bag through the seal and once your hand almost touches the end you give it a little tug to secure the seal. Removing is fairly simple too and easily done one handed, simply turn the elastic seal inside out and it nullifies the grip, making it easy to slide right off. Very easy to use and seals well for the period you have your cast on. The material that goes over the arm is a thick plastic a bit like a shower curtain and still offers a little grip through the plastic and the seal is made of a rubber with a light silky fabric coating it, allowing flexibility and comfort. Ngl I tried applying shower wash directly to the cover in attempt to wash a bit easier and it kinda just ran off the cover, proving it's capability, despite my waste of soap.

I have used Limbo products before and have never failed to be impressed with the quality and performance. Yes, you can buy cheaper, but if you want the best, this is the place to go to. Size was spot on, was easy to put on and made to last.

Produit super intéressant. Très pratique pour la douche avec un plâtre du poignet au coude. Etanche même avec un bras assez fin. Je recommande vraiment pour savoir se débrouiller seul(e) pour se laver !!

I had to have two separate hand / arm surgeries and although I tried a plastic bag to cover my arm when taking a shower, I wound up purchasing this on the recommendation of my boss. This was perfect. The cover is made of thick plastic like an opaque shower curtain liner with re-enforced netting inside the plastic. The sealing cuff is made of neoprene. The cover is cut on the diagonal so that the finger area is the longest point. I ordered the large size so that I would not have trouble getting this on and off alone. Had I not been on my own, the medium size would have been a better fit. All I had to do is pull the cover over my cast and then pull down on the arm piece to create a watertight seal. The black cuff seals nicely against the skin without being too tight. It remained waterproof throughout all the showers I took for my first operation (approximately 35+ showers). I have no doubt it will perform as well for my second operation. The cover is a bit long and is not for a full arm. I needed it to cover up to my mid-forearm but I had a lot of plastic left over unless I pulled it all the way up to my bicep. In summary, this protector worked beautifully and kept my cast dry. Of course, I could have saved some money and used a plastic bag but this made it easy to protect my medical splint without the hassle of using rubber bands to make a plastic bag water tight. In addition, it is made of quality material that will outlast me. I took two showers per day and it dried pretty quickly if I hung it up after every shower. This was definitely worth the price I paid.

The adult leg protector worked as promised! It was easy to put on, comfortable to wear in the shower and did not leak at all.
