A wonderful ‘bucket list’ book …
A great coffee table book with excellent pictures and suggestions … even people who are well-traveled might be inspired by some of the suggestions. Having said that: don’t expect detailed itineraries with hotel or restaurant suggestions … for that, of course, you will need to buy the individual travel books :-)

nice coffee table book
Nice coffee table book. Informative. Quite heavy. Looks good. After reading it I decided to add more information. The book is good quality in terms of heavy hard back book. The information is short, concise and informative for anyone wishing to plan travel destination. It provides an incentive to research further information on line, so a bit like a reference book. It provides plenty of ideas for the intrepid traveller. There are good photographs too to inspire the budding traveller. For the price and quality, I recommend.

Trips of the world
Fantastic book and excellent quality. The book details 100 destinations around the world that might make you think about adding to your bucket list. Some places you may never have heard of, but you will definitely be wanting to visit once you've read this. The photography is immaculate and the details and information shared is magnificent. This would make an excellent gift for anyone who loves to travel.

Plan your next adventure or just daydream from your favourite comfy chair
Whether you are an armchair traveller or seasoned adventurer, this book will be a welcome addition to your reference materials. The quality is everything you might expect from Lonely Planet, with gorgeous photography, excellent tips, and an inspiring list of 100 possible destinations that take in a wide range of destinations and might just include some that are new to you. It’s clearly laid out, the kind of large and heavy book you want to have out on display and curl up with a cuppa and dream about the next destination. With all the destinations included, I love that it even includes tips for shopping and eating, and provides a great jumping off point to research future trips or indeed just daydream.

Beautiful
This really is a beautiful book - hardback, quality paper, excellent photography and comprehensive, interesting information. It really is the archetypal coffee table book but it shouldn't just be used for decoration - even if you have a full bucket list of places you'd like to travel to, there's enough detail in this book to further inspire you. It would make a wonderful gift if you can bear to give it away!

Attractive travel ideas book, best for less experienced travellers
This book is what I expected it to be – nice photos, heavy (hardback) and enjoyable to flick through. It would suit someone who perhaps is in the early stages of compiling a bucket list rather than a more experienced traveller. Identifying only 100 destinations means that whilst some of the famous tourist spots are included, there are inevitably some exclusions. For example, among my favourite destinations that were excluded are Petra (Jordan), French Polynesia and the truly magnificent Iguazu Falls (Argentina/Brazil). Therefore don’t regard this as a definitive list of the must see places but rather just a selection. Also, it is not a travel companion – this book is too large and far too heavy to take on holiday with you. Instead it is an ideas book which, whilst giving a few itineraries, is not comprehensive enough and you would certainly need to buy an additional guide before travelling to a particular destination. It is the kind of book you would keep under a coffee table, to be brought out whenever you fancy reminding yourself of a possible future destination or simply to admire how wondrous our planet is.
