The magnification is perfect for detailed work, and the LED lights provide excellent illumination, making it easy to see even the tiniest details. The hands-free design is incredibly convenient, allowing me to work comfortably for extended periods. Highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a quality magnifying glass!

Disappointing gadget that does not live up to its intended purpose
I purchased this for my wife, who is losing her eyesight. It sounded like the perfect solution to her inability to read books that have small print. Unfortunately, it helps somewhat, which is why I rated it 3 stars. It is cumbersome to try to accommodate the unit on your neck, and even when just using it freeform, the magnification is uneven, and it gets frustrating to try and read one line at a time.So far, the best solution to reading is Kindle, where you can magnify the font.I would have returned this item, but it was a gift and by the time I gave it to my wife, the window of return had passed.

Great and useful if it didn’t crack at the bottom
This is the third one I’ve tried. This one started out wonderful! The lighting is bright and lasts a decent time. I even plugged it in with a different longer cable and used it that way. The lens at the bottom cracked about 2” and is in the way of viewing. Moving it around to see it through the other part is impossible due to the gooseneck. If the manufacturers made it with a sturdier frame, it might not have cracked and been usable. As I don’t need one so large, I will be looking for a smaller, sturdier one.

This product worked for less than two months!
This product was great while it worked, but it lasted for less than two months. The rechargeable battery quit charging and the light doesn't work at all. Extremely disappointed!! I know it was only $30, but I expected it to last a lot longer than that. I guess that's why it only has a one month return period. I am a senior citizen and I really need the light along with the magnifyer to be able to enjoy reading. Otherwise, it is a struggle and many books are printed in extremely small type, especially paperbacks. I get a lot of books from the public library and they do have a lot of paperbacks. I would LOVE to have a product that works, but I won't buy another one of these! THIS PRODUCT SUCKS!

Helps, but bulky
I have had retinal detachment, which is a permanent situation, in my right eye. I am finding I need the use of multiple magnifine glasses throughout my house and my day. This is a nice addition so I can read hands free, but it is too big and bulky for me to wear around my neck. I have found that by forming the goose neck into a type of stand for it to sit on my lap, instead of around my neck, I can rest the book I am reading on the gooseneck and adjust as I am reading. Also, the lights are nice and bright but I find I have to stop in between reading and charge them back up. Nice to have overall.

It is probably okay for some people
The neck thing is impossible to get comfortable. The magnification is not strong enough for me. Since it is charged by a USB cord it has to stay plugged in if you want to use it more than an hour or so because the brightness of the leds fades fairly quickly.I wanted it for knitting and crocheting so need a large size area so the concept is a good idea but because of low magnification I had to hold the piece very close, and also the magnifier close so the hard bendable neck thing made it uncomfortable amd also wouldn't be short enough so it is too hard to knit with. There is no room for knitting or crochet needles. It would be good for someone who can hold flat things on their lap like a book or magazine fairly far away and still be able to see. I need things about 6" from my eyes when using magnification like this type.
