Great, looks good and does the job

Bought this because my son was climbing up on the bathroom window sill which has a throw out window and he has figured out how to open it, this is a perfect item to stop any accidents for happening, really easy to fit and feel very strong

The restrictor seems solid and well made. It feels heavy, and it feels tough, which is quite reassuring. I bought this to put on a velux window as my toddler can climb up onto the deep windowsill (not matter how well we try and keep an eye on him), and it won't be long before he can reach the handle at the top, so I've used this to restrict it to about 4 inches. Although the lock is good, the supplied screws are very poor. Extremely poorly formed and as soft as butter. I'd fear those screws would snap long before anything else gave way so I ditched them and used some decent screws that I had laying around and I strongly recommend that you do the same.

Didn't come with instructions but super easy to work out how to fix to the upvc. Seems sturdy enough so far

Bought several of these over the years. Fitted on nearly every opening window. My daughter has two rescue cats who cannot be allowed out or they would panic and run. Important we keep windows open for comfort in the summer so these solved the problem. Neither the big tom nor the nosey dogs could break them and if mounted as per instructions the gap is big enough for ventilation but too small for cats to slip through. Easy to fit and don't foul the Venetian blinds as the mountings ensure the wire loops down when the window is closed. There are better looking ones on the market but having tried them, they cause problems with the blinds. Still, not ugly or cheap looking, just a bit industrial. Otherwise ideal for my needs. Very happy buyer.

Looks good and it's heavy duty

These work great and so far appear to be of high quality for the price. Easy to install and depending on how much you offset the two ends, you can control how much of a gap there is when open. In my case, due to the trim I elected to screw the key side in to the side of the window return. I had to use proper wood screws of a adequate length ( 1 1/2”). The supplied self tapping screws worked well on the vynal/PVC window though. Overall a great product. The two I got had the same key pattern too. Not sure if luck or they may be all the same key. For fire safety I am not too worried as an adult could likely kick the widow out in a true emergency. I got these for my cats and my kids to not accidentally open it too far and fall out.

The key quality is poor and the close/open with key is not consistent and difficult. Otherwise it is still practical and the material in general is good.

Easy install. Recommend to avoid kids pushing windows wide open and falling out. Probably can break it with great force (not a solution against burglars), but probably will stop a child from falling out of a window by pushing it too wide open.

I installed them on my windows so I don't have to worry my kid fall off.
