Worked for me
I followed the instructions to use OBS and had no issues transferring VHS tapes to my PC. Unfortunately, my VHS player is ancient now and it seems to have issues ejecting and playing videos now. I can hear a piece of something rattling around inside of my player, but this has nothing to do with this converter. It's unfortunate how much VHS players cost now. I wanted to transfer all of my VHS tapes like home records hoarding, thanks and whatnot over to digital, but my VHS player gave out on me.I was actually very surprised at the quality. After converting my tapes from analog to digital using this, they looked much clear and cleaner with no noise. Personally, I think, if you're looking to transfer your tapes over to digital, then look no further than this product.

Does a decent job transfering camcorder Mini-8 video to digital
Used this to transfer video from old Mini-8 Camcorder tapes to digital, and it did a very good job! It transfer's the video that would show on a TV, not the digital format. I continued to try to get digital transfers, though, another way and succeeded well enough to be able to tell that the digital quality is not THAT much greater than what this device will do, so I stopped. I did this for my daughter who is an artist and a Graphic Designer, and she said it was sufficient, so that is pretty high praise!

Great working product
Plugged the unit into my win 10 pc and hooked up the cables to the vcr, started obs software and pressed play on vcr. So easy to digitize all the families old vhs and hi-8 tapes. Now family friends and neighbors want to pay me to do thier vhs tapes! Very good working product right out of the box. If your not familiar with obs, then buy the digitnow interface that has the monitor built in. A bit more upfront cost, but way cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you.

Didn’t work
The instructions cannot be any more vague. It doesn’t explain anything that they give you and they just tell you to download it off the website. I downloaded it. It won’t take it. It’s giving me error after error. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it’s still not working right, so back it goes.

AV to HDMI
I honestly bought this 3 in 1 hdmi cord simply to play my (old Wii console) if you know then you know. It did the job just make sure you connect all three side which is your HDMI, 3color cords, and the charger cable to the tv. Worth the money if you Wii doesn’t automatically connects to you tv anymore. Price is affordable. Easy to use. Great Quality just a lot of cords maybe.

Worked well in MacOS
I'm using MacOS Sonoma 14.5 and it worked out of the box without installing any additional drivers or software applications. The only thing I had to deal with is that my camera was not outputting video signal through 3.5 connector (only audio), so I had to buy S-Video cable additionally. When I connected S-Video and one audio channel through 3.5-RCA cable everything started to work well.To record video you need to open quickTime Player app, then in the top menu select File -> New Movie Recording. Then in the opened window click on a dropdown icon next to record button and select USB Video and USB Audio as sources.Keep in mind that recorded files grow fast, so it's better to record in batches if you are tight on disk space.
