Great Reception,sound and features
This radio is an excellent value. Live an area where even my Tivioli Audio reception is iffy. It is well made easy to operate and has all the features a good travel radio should have; feels robust, has a sleep timer and alarm that wakes to a beep or to music.. Great sound as well coming from a tiny speaker. You can't go wrong with this. Can’t understand why it does have 90 percent five star reviews.

Just what I wanted
Why did you pick this product vs others?: My part-time retirement job is cleaning a daycare center and I do it from 3-6am. My pocket radio keeps me company. My old one had an analog tuner and it was a pain switching between my 2 go-to stations. The digital tuner is spot on and you can program the unit for one button tuning. Good size and surprisingly good sound quality.

Good choice, Small AM/FM Radio
Old school "transistor" radio, with some valuable, modern upgrades. Size wise, it's a bit larger, so it will not fit into a pocket, but it has a digital display for both clock and station selection; buttons for on/off/ and sleep. Speaker is fine, ear piece jack also important to me. Good price and solid value.

Great outdoor Radio
Great for outdoor activity! This was a gift for the family fisherman and he takes this portable radio on every fishing trip. Uses AAA batteries and has a decent battery life. Digital display maes it easy to see what station you are dialing to. This radio is also user friendly. Current user is 70 and navagates the buttons with ease!

Very nice radio with digital tuning and presets
I really like this radio. The digital tuning with several presets makes finding your favorite stations easy. I tried this radio because I had a very difficult time tuning my other small radio to the station I wanted, especially with FM stations. The dial was just too sensitive. This new radio with digital tuning and presets makes it easy to find my stations. The sound is good and similar to other radios of this small size. I really don't have a use for the capability to set alarms, but it's a feature if you want it.

Decent initial performance, later sever disappointment
Purchased the radio ~1 week ago. Worked great, the reception was good, sound was fair, and user interface was decent to boot. Then I discovered that the radio made a buzzing sound over plugged in headphones, only when the radio was TURNED OFF. Strange. I took the batteries out after preparing to return it, then later reinserted them. The radio wouldn't turn on again. It had high potential, but alas its flaws outweighed its merits, and my hand is forced--I will return this as soon as possible.1/5.

Simple and Good
Ok, it's just a radio, but so well done. Small, great sound, super easy to set, and it even has old-fashion 'radio buttons' for easy use. This is one of those little items in life that are so well done that it reminds us that quality and a sense of newness can be found even in what we consider appliance items. Very pleased.

One Big Issue
While I agree with the majority of the reviews regarding this portable radio (reliable presets, large illuminated screen, loud, etc.) the major issue for me is the totally digital tuning and volume control.Fortunately, the stations that I wanted as presets landed exactly on those stations that they use, so they were loud and clear, and I easily preset them and locked them in. Great! But the volume controls are also totally digital, meaning that the radio determines how low to go, and there's nothing you can do about it.Some stations have a stronger signal, and are by default louder than others. But you can't lower the volume low enough when it's early or late or you don't want the entire surrounding area(s) to hear what you're listening to.There's no way around this, since the radio has all buttons, only. No turning any wheel to find the station you want before making it a preset, no any volume control wheel to raise or lower the volume to a "just right" listening level.Three stars, although the sound is good (and loud!!!) and the presets work as they should.
