I had some spots I wanted to apply some zinc ointment to and didn't want to have the smell of the diaper cream. This stuff comes in a nice container and doesn't smell. I like it.

This ointment has absolutely no odor. My pink-nosed gelding always had a fit when I used Desitin because of the perfume smell. Today he stood still and let me apply this without any issues! It's a miracle! I will only buy this from now on.

Some competitors are merely 13%. BUT, Desetin Maximum Strength ("DMS") is 40%, and takes the honor of "strongest product available". That honest boast comes at a severe price however. DMS in 16 oz size is not directly sold by Amazon at this time; but a two pack is available for about $58. Other Amazon related vendors charge about $39 for a one pound (1#) jar.

I use it on my face.The only thing it is a little thick but I rub it in and do not use too much, just a thin layer.It makes my face so soft and when I walk everyday, I know my face is being protected from all the elements, sun and wind and etc.
