Genius Product โ No Batteries, No Wi-Fi, Just Works!
I am so impressed with this wireless light switch system! It truly delivers on its promise: no Wi-Fi, no batteries, and zero hassle. I was a bit skeptical at first, but installation was quick and easy. I paired the switch with the included receiver in just a few minutes, and it worked instantly. What makes this a standout is how versatile it is. I can now control lights in places where I thought adding a switch would be impossible, no running wires through walls or worrying about power sources. I stuck the switch to the wall and it looks and functions like a traditional wired switch. The fact that it needs no batteries at all is incredible: it uses kinetic energy from the button press, which feels futuristic and eco-friendly. The signal is strong, and the response is instant.

It works
The switch operates as expected after installing with no battery, wifi, or running wires to a switch. For my application this is what I was looking for. Given that it solves a problem at this price point there's no reason to deduct a star, but there are a few things to note. The receiver will have to fit inside the electrical box which may be difficult if you have a small box. When initially wiring the device, try connecting the wires from the power source first and pairing before connecting the load side. The wire locations on the receiver could be further apart; they are very close together and you might want to be careful not to strip too much or not enough wire; I would say that it would be better if these wires were a little further apart and the same goes for the load side of the receiver. The device also does not have a ground wire, but it should be enough to ground the wire and load as usual with the device running in between. The flathead needed to turn the screws that clamp the bar in the receiver to the wires is of an odd size, normal screwdrivers will not fit these holes. I did have one on hand that would fit, but be aware that your average household flathead isn't going to fit. The instructions could be written better but are enough to figure it out. Also note this does not come with any wires, you simply wire in hot and naught on both the supply and load side. All of that said, it works, and not having to run wire for a switch at this price saves a lot of work and money. You can have up to five switches on one receiver. The switch is the same size as a single gang electrical box but I did not mount it that way and the switch itself is a push button type, in other words it does not do "up for on down for off", you simply press one side of the rocker. This is an initial impression and I have no idea how long it will last when installed.

Fantastic wireless switch
Great wireless switch. I needed a remote switch to control attic lights after relocating attic access from one side of house to the other side. Did not want a wifi or smart switch as I'm selling the house and don't want the new owners to have to reconfigure with whatever wifi system they setup. Also being were in Florida the attic gets pretty hot so I did not want a battery operated switch as the battery would likely not last long. This switch instalation is pretty much fool proof as long as the installer knows how to ID the Line and neutral wires and knows the difference between input and output wires. Tools needed: small headed flathead screwdriver pair of wire stripper/cutters. The switch controller installed easly, and works flawlessly from 50' away where the switch and the controller are NOT light of sight. The setup works each and every time the switchvis depressed. I'm impressed and am sure I'll buy again for other applications. I'll probably now use one as a light switch on the inside of the sauna and one at the spa as they provide control with out the electrical saftey concerns in wet areas.

Toggle clicker operation, switch itself is big
I used 3 of these to switch a set of outdoor lights from 3 locations. The switch itself, the part that goes in the fixture box, is challenging to fit in said junction or switch box, and its connection lugs don't hold stranded wire which most fixtures use. I was able to make it work with limited wires in the box and the open back of the fixture, but be aware. I was replacing another brand of a similar design that also uses clickers with no batteries but switches on or off rather than toggling between on and off. That design had a smaller, round switch with leads of stranded wire rather than lugs. Both those features are preferable in my opinion, but one of my 3 clicker locations is exterior and the old clicker had ceased functioning after several years. I found what appeared to be a replacement, but it was a different brand so not necessarily interchangeable, and the units were more costly, so I opted to replace the entire set with this design and it works fine. These are trade-offs I accept in using good technology from unknown, offshore companies for much lower cost than domestic solutions.

Not as easy to install as it appears
If you aren't a DIYer with previous electrical wiring experience then you might need to hire an electrician to install this switch. Here's why: A light switch can be wired two ways: - If your existing switch's electrical box contains 120 Volt wires (hot and neutral) from the breaker and also wires that proceed from the switch to your light, then you (the DIYer) can successfully install this switch. - If your existing switch's electrical box contains only two wires (hot and switched hot) from your light fixture, then installing this switch may be problematic. That's because this switch absolutely requires a neutral wire in order to function and this second wiring arrangement doesn't have a neutral. So it'll benefit you to (carefully) explore which arrangement you have BEFORE purchasing. That said, I have the first wiring arrangement (above) and my installation worked fine. It took a little work transferring the wires and dressing them to fit back into the box, but not awful. And I like the (5 star) quality of the switch. Good luck with your installation!

SHORT RANGE
THIS PRODUCT ONLY HAS A RANGE OF 8' TO 10' MAXIMUM. I WAS USING IT FOR A 14' X 28' ROOM. I HAD TO RETURN IT.

Not easy to install
The wire lugs were awful. They slide around inside the oversized receiver box and barely clamp the wires at all. I donโt trust them to maintain a good connection and will be returning this unit. The battery powered switch model was far easier to install. Switch did work when there was a connection.

Work great
They work great. Just installed 10 of these in my parents 100 year old house. I was getting them off knob and tube and didn't wanna run wires down walls. Awesome how you can pair them to create 3 way switches. And great they have no batteries. I've installed a similar set before and only thing I wish these had is the switch rocked to a position and stayed. These spring return you have a small potential to not push hard enough and light doesn't come on. But it's really just a small chance.
