Nedfoss makes nice blades, quality slicers for less, check out this haiku ^_^
:: }{x}{x}{ :: NEDFOSS ~ 6” Neck Knife :: }{x}{x}{ :::: BLADE ::-440 stainless steel more than likely means 440A. This puts the hardness of the steel between 55 and 57HRC which I consider slightly better than minimum requirements for a small fixed blade (I like 55HRC and anything above that is bonus).-Factory edge is even and sharp, with a well-defined point for piercing.-2.7” blade has a deep, contoured belly for slicing.-Blade is small: slightly more than 0.5” at its widest point.-Stock is hefty enough at 3.5mm thick.-Blade shape approximates a kukri, tho size prohibits chopping like a kukri. Think of this as “kukri-inspired”.-No jimping on spine but it is contoured for a thumb rest.-Stonewash finish is a nice touch and should look even cooler as it ages.:: HANDLE ::-Approx 3.25” long and 0.42” thick.-Textured black G10 scales are cut at 3.5mm thick.-Handle is contoured a little awkward: long enough for 3 fingers but there are only 2 finger wells and they are spaced equally so the notch that normally rests between your fingers ends up right in the middle of my middle finger, making indexing difficult to say the least. Regardless it feels good enough in the hand and seems to stay where I want it. Good enough for small EDC tasks anyway.-Bought this knife specifically to take the scales off in order to paracord wrap the skeletal frame. After removing the scales I realized that they are absolutely necessary for retention while in the sheath. You cannot paracord this knife without the scales or it will not lock into the sheath. My suggestion is to paracord wrap OVER the existing handle as I plan to do with mine.:: SHEATH ::-Kydex is well-formed and holds the knife securely. However, you cannot sheath the knife if you do not have the scales on it. This is my biggest complaint with this knife as a different retention method would hold the knife more securely and permit customization by the user. Most knives like this rely on retention posts that “lock” around the bottom of the knife blade when it is sheathed. However, this knife relies on contouring around the handle scales for retention. Not sure about longevity with this approach…-Sheath could benefit from a cheap belt clip, in order to make this piece more than a neck knife (displayed in my photos is the Cold Steel Small C-Clip sold 2 for $5 here on Amazon).-With a belt clip, this knife could be carried ambidextrously in both vertical and horizontal (scout carry and cross body) forms. There are only 4 rivets however, so not many positioning options other than strictly vertical or strictly horizontal (i.e. you cannot angle it on your waist very easily and must adopt a fully vertical or horizontal position).:: OVERALL ::-Great little 6” neck knife would benefit from a belt clip and better retention mechanism.-9/10 only because I cannot remove the handle scales bc the sheath requires them for retention.

If you like the style, and you like having a neck knife, get this.
You can find neck knife setups for pretty cheap. I was in the market for one, and I wish I would have found this option sooner. The Ned Foss brand has a stellar record with the products I have bought by them. I have a handful of knives, different types, and all of them get a positive rating from me. Thier "survival knife" they offer is one of my favorite blades I own for the reason it is put together solid and is extremely cost efficient compared to the competition and the competition makes great cutlery, but that NF knife gives the. A run for the money for a literal fraction of the cost. I bought some NF ax's on a whim because they were cost friendly and looked quality, boy was I right. The set I bought is a direct confirmation that NF can put out a quality product that you don't have to budget necessarily to own. Those ax's even came in a decorative box when I purchased them around the holidays, and I pride myself in owning a set and recommend them, even though I'm not chopping logs with them I can show them off and throw them around outside if I want like some modern day warrior.Back to the knife... I started buying neck knives out of frustration which each one I purchased. I found a cheap one I was going to settle with, and out of no where amazon suggested a NF version of a neck knife. Without hesitation I bought it and was so excited I payed a few extra bones to get it quicker. The quality meets or exceeds the competition in every aspect. I wear this blade daily to this day and use it for utility mostly, but low key I have it for self defense if the event arises. The design is perfect for my larger hands, the g10 grips are g10 grips, and the design of the blade provides a healthy distance from grip-blade proximity. I extended the chain so it hangs lower, personal preference. It wasn't sharp enough to my liking, but the curvature of the blade requires some free hand sharpening if you want the angle as square as possible. Idk what I paid for it, maybe 20ish dollars. It snaps secure Into the kydex sheath, it's sharp, it fits my big mitts in a comfortable way to where I'm confident in using it in any situation or scenario, whether it's opening up a box at work or correcting a physical threat from some poor soul who thought I am an easy target.I have zero complaints about this blade and hope you can spare the money to add this knife to your edc or collection.

Tough and SHARP!!
Great little knife, the horizontal carry makes a lot of sense for a tactical belt as long as it is not as thick as a gun belt. Very difficult to hold the nut while turning the screws on the clip to make it ambidexterous (it comes shipped for a left-hand draw) but with patience it can be done. The clip broke on mine while putting it on a belt, but Amazon is just (Amazin') and are swapping it out for me. Perfect EDC blade for dressy attire and rugged enough for tactical and/or work use. To update, Amazon quickly replaced my knife when I reported the clip had broken off the sheath. Upon arrival, I reversed the clip for a right-hand draw and put it onto my "dress" belt since it would not fit over my tactical belt. Clip held up, but after a day of wearing it the clip had lost tension and fell off my belt when I sat down. It has spread far enough that it is pretty much useless. Sing I love the knife itself, I am trying to come up with an alternate "holster".

Good Knife
I'm very satisfied with this knife. Arrived sharp as a razor blade (almost) and feels really good in the hand(s). Fits nicely on my belt and doesn't dig in. Also hangs well around the neck.
