Works for me
Working like a charm! Had an AC 120v fan I put in my DIY subwoofer amplifier enclosure that moved a lot of air but was a bit too noisy. This little guy lets me adjust it down to near stealth level. Very happy. Don’t forget to adjust the potentiometer.

Great dimmer or speed controller
For everyone who is curious about how it works. I wired this up to a 60w incandescent light and observed the wave. This appears to he a triac controlled device, when the dial is turned down cuts the sine wave down, when it's turned up, it allows it to go up. At full speed the wave is still partially cut but only slightly, that's just because of efficiency. This works great on my CNC shop vac, and other universal motor speed controls. Works great on resistive loads like motors, light bulbs, and probably AC heaters too (depending on the type). (Does not work on led light bulbs as they function different internally). For those of you who want to use this to vary the voltage, this won't work. The rms voltage will change a little but since the sine wave is only shortened it will still hit the high voltage levels of ~169v peak unless the wave is shortened to just a tiny piece of it. When I initially tested this is was giving full voltage full duty Cycle the whole time, it wasn't until I put a resistive load on the device that it actually began working. I have several of these because for my uses they work fantastic.

First Look and bench testing
Powering a 5.4 amp drill, at first the device was too touchy, and only worked for a very small movement of the main potentiometer; the motor would jerk and hunt if turned too far. As others have noted, this is because it lowers output RMS voltage, and is tuned for 220V, but I was using 110. Many CW turns of the small trim pot gave me full range of speed-pot adjustment, and the motor seemed happy when full CCW of the main pot gave about 78V output with the motor running. I haven't tried it under load yet, other than to hold the chuck a bit by hand. The pot is smooth and seems substantial, and requires a 9/32" (7mm) hole, with enough thread for 1/8" maximum panel thickness (although thicker than 1/16 would allow the knob to rub on the panel if seated all the way). No room between traces/components for drilling stand-off mounting holes, but the pot mounting bracket is substantial enough to mount the device that way, as long as wires are supported. A small tab protrudes next to the pot, and a 3mm hole should be drilled in the panel 9/32"OC beside the potentiometer hole for clearance, but this will also keep the device oriented by preventing it from it from turning. Screw terminals appear a bit flimsy, but tighten "well enough" for up to 12AWG stranded wire. I'll update my review as I put this into use. And I'll use caution with low speed, as airflow and motor cooling will be diminished. I'll never give a 5 star rating until a device has lasted a year, but this performs as promised so far.

South Bend 9A lathe
I needed a speed control for my 1948 South Bend 9A; specifically more control of the lead screw. I have a small 110V AC motor [from an old reversible/variable speed drill] and wanted a reliable means of controlling the motor. I ordered the HiLetgo 2000W PWM and was surprised, but pleased, at its small dimensions. I used an outdoor electrical box and added an on/off switch at one side, then a three position rocker for the reversing switch and mounted the HiLetgo 2000W PWM just above the rocker. Wiring the PWM was rather easy and once powered up; IT WORKED PERFECT! Thank you for an excellent product!

It works
It works good just that the soldering on one of the electronic components was broken so I had to do back the soldering on it but it works and ease of installation

Replaced Toro Leaf Blower Switch
Contacted Toro to buy a new switch but they will not sell it; I am assuming for liability reasons. So I bought this and installed it successfully. I did have to trim some plastic in the mounting area of the old switch and splice some wire but I used the leaf blower all last fall without a problem. Now this year (2021) I went to use it and it failed. I started trouble shooting the board and found that the BTA16 Triac was blown. I had some so I replaced it and found the the speed was no longer controllable and blew another BTA16-600B Triac. I then started to test the other components and found that both of the resistor pots are bad. I think the components poor quality and the heat sink cannot handle the heat of the TRIAC.

Not as shown. Missing important parts.
The images show a 5 band 100 ohm resistor and and transistor which would be the snubber circuit to protect this device from voltage spikes when whatever you are controlling is turned off. This is a very basic and required safety feature. These parts are not on the product shipped - and there is no place on the pcb for them. I kept it because I have those parts on hand and can make my own, but you should not buy this one if you don't have them.

Heat Coil can now be adjusted to desired setting
Used on 16 ohm resistance coil in a NESCO Gardenmaster food dryer. The circuit board of the NESCO dryers fail after a few months of continuous use (I’ve gone through like six of them). Needed to replace NESCO’s circuit with something more reliable so that I can adjust thermal output of the coil for different applications (drying meat vs herbs, etc) without spending $150 every year. Wired this up to the coil and it tested good! Did what it was supposed to. Now I’m reassembling the dryer and rewiring this device in a project box for prolonged use. We’ll see how the HiLetGo stands the test of time. But even if it fails at the end of the season, at least it’s an inexpensive replacement part, vs buying an entirely new dryer.

A éviter

No trae instrucciones.
