Great travel book!
This book is full of very useful tips, from places to see, food and drinks to try, and ways to get good bargains. I would have loved to see a Table of Contents and Index to make it easier to refer back to the information I was looking for, but overall, very well done!

Interesting look at England
This is a good look at England from the eyes of its culture and traditions. Although based on the description it did not deliver on what it is like to live in England and whenere to live if you do. I bought this book for my wife because we plan to spend a month there in two years. All in all it is interesting, I wish it has a bit more on the living there side.

Mystical, enchanting travel book on England
England: Cultured, Classic, and Charming: A Guide to Hidden England (The Hidden Gems Series) by Christy NicholasThis travel book, and I hesitate to call it that, because it is so much more, will enrich any trip taken to England. Christy Nicholas gives you cliff notes on the history of this ancient land before delving into the many sites and wonders you may want to add to your trip. She gives great advice about how to think of and plan your trip, I love the idea of leaving time to get lost. By the time you have finished this book you may find yourself adding extra days to your trip to accommodate seeing more of this mystical land so steep in history. If you wanted to skip around in this book you certainly could, I recommend reading it cover to cover, as the history and myths of this place will only enhance your travels. At the end of the boom there is an extensive resources section, in case what you learned in these pages only wet your whistle and now you must learn more. In the past I have read ‘For Dummies’ travel books, I would call this one For Smarties, because you certainly after giving this a read. It is certain to fan the flame of your curiosity and desire to explore this land. Christy Nicholas’s love and awe of England comes shining through and is contagious. I definitely recommend this book before traveling to England and/or if you want to learn more of this enchanting isle.

look no further
England: Cultured, Classic, and Charming: A Guide to Hidden England is a Travel guide to hidden gems and treasures for tourists. This is my first time reading work from this author. I often like to look at different tourist guilds to plan for trips that I hope to one day take. So seeing this I had to give it a try. I long to travel through Europe starting at England. When I was reading this, I found the author had a lot of good tidbits and information to give that I found helpful. I look forward to using it one day lmao hopefully soon! I especially loved to part on the budgeting and local deals. I love saving money when I can. I mean who doesn't 😀.I would love to see what other work this author has. Like the Druid's Brooch Series the author has created, it looks super interesting and that's just from looking at the covers.

Simplistic look at England
I wanted to like this book, but if you are looking for a travel guide to England, stick with the classics. What Ms. Nicholas does well is point out some of the things that make England charming. The first half of the book was an attempt at some historical and folklore of England, unfortunately, she tries to do too much and you really cannot get a understanding of the culture. It was as if she wanted to give you a bite sized nugget of as much as possible. The part about how to travel to England was redundant and so simplistic that unless you have never undertaken a trip (regardless of it being to another country) you will feel a bit patronized. The part of the book that I really enjoyed as the last third or so in which she points out places to visit. Many are not hidden at all, and the ones that are less known once again get lost because she gives so little information. It is a fun book, and quick read, just one that really will not help a great deal if one wishes to experience the culture and beauty of England. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Highly recommended travel guide to England
I have had a desire to travel abroad for many years. The likelihood of actually travelling abroad for me is pretty unrealistic, however if anyone wouldn't mind tucking me into your suitcase, I'll gladly go!When I came across this book, I was excited to see that it is a true hidden gem. I feel like I've travelled to England through the pages of this book! The author has compiled an extremely thorough book of everything you need to know if you were planning a trip to England. She covers various legends and myths, hidden gem locations, the best places to eat and times to go, places to stay, how to manage converting money, best times to travel, best ways to travel and so much more! Terminology used there that might not be familiar is also defined.Great resource and I'll refer to it again if I ever do get the opportunity to actually travel there. In the meantime, I'll live vicariously through the pages of this book!
