We wanted black so we had to purchase separately. Review: Great fire pit/table! - This is a great fire pit/table! It puts off a really nice amount of heat. We've not tested it in weather below 70 degrees as of yet, but we suspect that it will work well on high, once we get into fall temps. It does come with a glass shield and ample amount of lava rock. We replaced our lava rock with fire glass which dramatically improved the aesthetic (and matched our outdoor sofa). The hose for propane comes out of either smaller side of the fire pit, there is a half moon cutout at the bottom of each end for the hose. It also comes with a round stand for the propane tank, which is nice. There is a decent cover for the fire pit but not the propane tank. The fire pit is perfect to put our feet on while sitting on the couch. Plenty of room for a beverage on the table portion. With the glass shield on, drinks do not get warm. I will say that the glass shield prevents a lot of the heat from hitting those sitting around the fire pit. Standing up you will feel it. We've been using it mostly with the glass shield removed. I’m giving a 3 star rating as it was beautiful, works great, & I did love the aesthetic but it has not held up during the seasons here in KY. Even with it being covered during the colder seasons, the paint has chipped away. And not just in one area but the entire fireplace.
