Easy to use and great value.
I am using this to maintain the water level in our pool for the winter. It is working great to keep the water from getting too high. Easy to use.

Its A Manual Switch
Saw another review with the same problem but took it that maybe it was defective. Installed the float and tested . Alls ok. Water rises, float now vertical, switch does not engage. Removed after consideral trouble and switch begins to work. Reinstall. Same problem again. At this point I unplugged the switch and plugged back in , switch works. Some kind of electrical switch problem. Will try a different manufacturer

Works, but adjusting the weight scrapes the insulation
I like the shape and coloration of the unit. It makes it easier to find in the sump pump pit. However, there are two things that were not so good.1. Adjusting the weight to change when the float switch activates scraped the insulation of the electric cord and was extremely difficult. I think that the durability and safety of the unit is in question now.2. The float must go a couple of inches below the weight to deactivate. This is not clear in the video IMO. It is why I had to move the weight and could not use it as I had originally envisioned. My suggestion is to get the slightly cheaper version without the weight and secure the cord somewhere where the float will properly activate and deactivate. If you get the unit with the weight, be aware the weight needs to be be above the point where you want the float switch to deactivate.

Good
Have not had any issues since we installed it. That's what I was looking for. No trouble.
