Great product but poorly designed nozzle
Hair type: Short (above-the-ear), fineScalp type: Oily, sensitiveI’m a fan of the Alpecin range of caffeine shampoo so I was excited to try this out. This is a big bottle of hair tonic – almost the same size as that of their shampoo. The scent is fresh. A little like aftershave. It is rather strong so it takes a while to dissipate after application. There is menthol in this and it is on the stronger side as well. You can feel it on your scalp immediately upon application and it does cause a warming sensation. Despite having a sensitive scalp, this was okay for me but I can imagine those with a more sensitive scalp may find it uncomfortable. Post-application, there was no stickiness or a feeling of residue on the scalp, so that was nice. The biggest downside of this product is the design of the nozzle. Do not make the same mistake as me and just tip the bottle to your scalp. The tonic will pour – yes, I mean pour – out of the rather wide-mouthed nozzle and drip over your face. I highly suggest you pour a little onto your fingertips and rub them into your scalp instead. That or use one of those hair oil applicators.

This Alpecin Caffeine Hair Booster is Liquid Gold!
I gotta put you on to this wild hair product that's been an absolute gamechanger for my thinning mane. I used to be straight up shedding like a mangy mutt, with my once luscious locks slowly disappearing down the drain day by day. Harsh shampoos and ineffective growth serums were only making the situation worse too. That's when this inky black caffeine elixir slid into the picture! As soon as I started working a few pumps through my scalp post-shower, I could feel those little miracle molecules getting to work. We're talking a tingly, energizing sensation hitting those tired follicles with a revitalizing jolt of life. It's like an espresso shot for your strands! But here's where it gets even wilder - the Alpecin formula utilizes insane German engineering to block DHT, the hormone villain that causes premature balding and shedding. Who knew caffeine was such a potent defense against hair loss? After just a couple weeks of consistent use, my hair was visibly thicker, fuller, and looked way healthier overall. No more combover comb-overs or weird bald spots peeking through either. We're talkin' a luscious mane that would make Superman jealous. If you've been losing the battle against thinning locks, do yourself a solid and get your hands on Alpecin Black ASAP. This caffeinated booster is like a defibrillator for deflated hair follicles!

Non-greasy and dries quickly but strong scent
I got this caffeine hair treatment for my husband as it’s geared towards men who want stronger hair and I’ve also read that caffeine is good if you want to grow your hair too. I’m not a fan of the scent and I think it would have been better if it was fragrance-free, it smells like alcohol/peppermint and cologne to me and it’s quite overpowering if you apply it all over your head. The nozzle is tapered and makes it easy to apply and there’s plenty of product in the container so I think it’s good value for a caffeine scalp serum. It dries quickly and doesn’t leave a tacky or sticky residue which is good too and you can style your hair as usual once it’s dry.Overall, if you’re looking for a caffeine scalp treatment that promotes hair growth and hair strength then this is a good one to consider, just keep in mind that this has a very strong scent that might not appeal to everyone.

Great smell but I have no idea if it works
I use it after my showers. It has a great smell. I haven't noticed any dramatic improvements to my hair but it doesn't seem to have hurt my hair either. I'll continue using it since it's easily to apply and pleasant to use.

Needs a sprayer head
This product smells like cologne. Its nozzle can easily spill when the bottle is tilted. I intended to rub its nozzle on my hair to have the shampoo coming out slowly, but the liquid just pours on me. It's hard to apply in moderation. Hence, its nozzle definitely needs some improvement and really should use a sprayer head for easy application. The shampoo itself feels a bit like mint, but it irritates my eyes. The scent can stay on my hair for quite a while. So, for those who love cologne, this shampoo can also serve as perfume. So far, I haven't seen much improvement or visible results. Only time can tell.
