I brought some washable markers along with the travel journals. I had to read the questions to them, but they drew the answers and it kept them entertained. They definitely enjoyed them. Review: Awesome Journal for young kids - This was a hit to my 7 year old girl. I didn't give it to her until a day before we started getting ready for our trip. She documented the trip in her own words and drawings which I'm sure will be fun to look back to when she is all grown up. This journal kept her entertained during that long plane ride and during waiting times (airport & restaurant). She is excited to write/draw at the end of the day or first thing in the morning. The back side of the cover page of the book has spot to put on the earned badges (sticker-badges are at the back pages of the book). So throughout the trip she earns a badge which adds up to her excitement. Overall, a really awesome book for kids to document their vacation!

Great Travel Diary
Loved this for my 6 year old. I would say it is perfect for a long trip with lots of travel. Ideally for a kid between 7-10 who can read/write but does better with prompts rather than a regular diary.

Love this travel journal
Bought this travel journal for my son when we went to Australia (he was 5). Some of it was over his head, but he loved filling it out, answering the questions, and coloring in it. We liked it so much that I decided to buy another one for him for our next overseas trip. He is 8 now. He remembered the book and was really excited to be getting another one for this trip!

Well designed kid approved travel journal
My 6 year old loved this book and wants one for every trip we ever go on. I like the open ended questions/activities. He loves the sticker badges you earn.

Charming child's travel book.
Lots of activities to keep a school-age child occupied while traveling. The hard-cover book then becomes a keepsake full of memories.

Worth every penny!
So detailed and gave my kids so much to do. Very creative and fun questions to get kids engaged in writing.

Lovely journal
This was a great journal for my six year old son. It helped build his excitement about the trip. He liked that some pages were for drawing and some were for writing. He worked on it nearly every night the we were on vacation and really enjoyed it. He wanted more pages about places he visited and less pages about new friends he met- we didn’t meet anyone!

I've bought these three times now. Once for my niece going to the Caribbean, and once for my other two nieces going on vacation with their grandparents. The pages are all with creative and fun ways to document their trip. Cute ideas to keep them busy and have them excited to fill out the pages. I would say my oldest niece (6) enjoyed it the most, because she was able to read and write on her own. The other two (5 and 5) needed some adult help, but still enjoyed it.

Bought this for a friend moving with their family abroad for one year. They absolutely loved it for their boy.

My picture shows the journal without its red dust jacket. But it's the same hardback book underneath. I used this, as a fun loving adult, to record the details of a holiday. It's wonderful! Huge plus...it's about having an ADVENTURE and not everything being perfect all day. E.g. You rate a new food you tried or give yourself a sticker for 'Going with the flow' or 'Walking what felt like 10 miles'. There are not day by day pages per sa but different pages prompt you to write or draw (mostly draw) things from any day of your adventure. For example: Something small you noticed. A conversation with a local. A map of where you are. Something your forgot to pack. The movie title, if a film was made of your adventure. There are also 'waiting' pages where you count the things around you of different colours or make up a story from multiple choice answers; ideal in a restaurant or train station. Over all, you create a fun and meaningful keepsake. It's very much aimed at children so, any adults, be aware of this! But I chose it, fully aware, because I just love the bold, bright style! I wrote in the spaces around the pictures whenever I wanted to write a longer entry. Finally, the paper is high quality, thick and the book is sturdy.

This journal was AMAZING for our recent vacation. Our daughter (5) loved filling out the pages and then sharing it with her class when we returned. As a teacher myself, I loved the variety of activities and really like how it got her looking closely at things around her, reflecting on her experiences and event interviewing locals!

My almost 6 year old LOVED having this book on our recent trip and she's still finishing it up.
