Research backed prevention
Because there is macular issues in my family I take as a preventative measure. No macular issues so far... My Dad was already legally blind by his late 60's. I've passed that

Optometrists say it works; I was skeptical but decided to try it. The big surprise is, it works!
I used to visit my optometrist every 12 months, and each time macular deterioration was noted, and my glasses were made stronger. Two years ago he advised me to try Macuvision Plus (N.B. NOT "Macuvision" without the "plus"), saying it might slow the deterioration and could even halt or reverse it. I laughed inwardly, but decided to do the decent thing for a few months, at least. Then, as the scheduled visit became due, first it was unavoidably delayed by a half year and then COVID struck, so, all in all, the time in between visits was a bit over two years. But I FELT okay, so I wasn't too worried. The tests were done, and the results held up side by side.... 2018, 2020. There was no discernible difference. For the first time in nearly a decade, I went out with the same prescription as when I went in. The stuff actually does what it is supposed to do! It's the only semi-medicinal product I have ever actually recommended to anyone... as long as I can afford the VERY HIGH PRICE, I will keep on taking it.
