I really liked the product. The build quality is very good, no doubt about it. It holds my iphone firmly without the case. I used the other 3m mount as I don't want any thing to block the vents. I don't know how long it will hold on to the dash with the 3m tape..At this price they should include magnetic ring for cases and other non magsafe phones and some extra 3m tape. Otherwise the price should be around 1000.

Strong magnet and firm stature

At first, this ESR Magnetic Car Mount looked sleek and well built. The magnet was strong, the design was minimal, and it held the phone securely. I was genuinely impressed for a while.But within a few months, it started making odd crackling noises, almost like the material inside was hardening or becoming brittle. The quality noticeably declined over time. The finish started to wear off, and the entire unit began to feel cheap and fragile.Then, around the 10 to 12 month mark, it cracked completely. For a product at this price point, that’s unacceptable. It clearly wasn’t built to last. I expected better from ESR, but this feels like a disposable product disguised as premium.

The design idea is good.A hook which can hold on to the AC vent.It doesn’t fall down and is very sturdy even during a bumpy ride.The only and the worst drawback is the threaded tightner which tightens the ball socket to the mobile holder it is made of very low quality plastic which broke multiple times even under little pressure.I tried to stick it using super glue but it later on breaks at another point.Wont last for even 6months.
