This isn't the quietest wheel on the block, but our darling Jupiter doesn't seem to mind. She was getting rather plump with her old lazy chic saucer wheel. We stepped it up old school with this metal one and she's running all night on this bad boy. I recommend as long as the hammy is not in the bedroom as it is rather loud and rickety sounding.

I used this for Heremès, My hermit crab. He was looking for a new exercise and this came in right on time. He has a 10 gallon crabitat so I worried about space, but it fits. He took it apart somehow but it easily went back together. My crab is about the size of a tennis ball and it’s great for him. He is 7 years old so he doesn’t move fast, but he gets it going.

This wheel works as intended. My gerbil took right to it. He ran the last one down so much, the wires that hold the wheel broke! Instructions say to oil the wire where the wheel turns to eliminate the squeaking noise but it doesn't work. Well, it works, but not for long.

Bought this for my hedgehog. It’s a bit too lightweight so it moves as he’s running in the wheel. It isn’t as sturdy as a previous one that I had, It’s slightly flimsy, but it gets the job done.

I purchased this for my pet rats. They love running and I already have a wheel similar to this that I purchased at a pet store. I wanted another wheel for them, and I thought I'd try and save some money. This product came in completely warped. The mesh screen was bent in weird places, which I fixed since the mesh is so flimsy, but once I put it on the stand it would not spin at all. I could not even test out this item because it was completely unusable. The 2 bars in the middle of the wheel part were so bent that it pushes against the stand when on it. They could probably resolve this if they packaged it better. maybe with some styrofoam, but the product is so cheaply made that I would not want my pets to use this. I looked at the reviews before ordering this item and just thought some people were getting in a bad product, but a lot of time people over exaggerate. I am not over exaggerating when I say please just save your money, go to a pet store and get one there. It might be an extra couple of bucks but then maybe businesses will realize that they need to have better quality items. I am going to send this back as soon as I possibly can and get my money back. Nothing more irritating then getting horrible quality in an item.

This is metal, which is a must for Chinchillas. How there can be plastic products supposedly for Chinchillas I don't understand. They eat everything possible and the plastic will kill them. This one is metal, however and works well but is a little flimsy. The wheel actually popped out of the little mounts in the middle. And it is on the smallish size for full grown Chinchillas. You will need to secure it to the bottom of the cage. Otherwise it will fall over. Having said all that, they sure love it and it is funny to watch them cause they almost fill it up.

The gerbils kept eating up the plastic fasteners on the other wheels. This wheel has been perfect for the gerbils. No problem with tails or feet being caught. We put some Vaseline (or oil) on the brackets and the boys run noiselessly all day and night!

I bought this wheel for one of our Syrian hamsters who chewed up her plastic wheel, then chewed up a second wheel, and then chewed her way through her enclosure and actually chews on pretty much everything. I did use several coats of nail polish to paint over some end pieces of wire that I was concerned she might injure herself on. She's been using the wheel for several months now and it's been all good. Easy to clean and no injuries. I also found I can weave strips of paper through the mesh and that gives her a bonus activity trying to pull those out and adding them to her bed. Definite win here.

Great for a mouse but nothing bigger, made of metal the wheel can last quite awhile. I don't think a hamster would fit in this unless it was very young though... but if you purchase it for a mouse or something around that size its perfect.

Theres going to be folks who disagree with the use of these wheels due to the metal grid and potential injury. However, it is the cheapest metal wheel available and can be easily modified using duct tape to create a smooth yet gripping surface for rodents. The one issue I have is that the axles can dry up and cause God awful screeching but adding some veggie oil to it helps for a week or two before the next cleaning.

Great wheel for a regular-sized teddy-bear hamster. The gridwork is small enough that his feet don't get caught, so it's safe to use. I probably wouldn't use it for a dwarf hamster, though. Noise level is the usual for a hamster wheel - I'm not bothered by it as I'm used to it, but for those that don't like the sound of wheels, it isn't like a silent spinner. Given the ridiculous price of most hamster wheels though, I'd say this is the best one for quality and price.

I wouldn't recommend this product as it came badly bent. Also the metal is too short for how it sits and my pets keep knocking it off the metal posts. I had to run wire between the posts so that it will stay together. Its also very noise since I can't bend it into the proper shape.
