Overall happy with the kit for the price. It has everything you need to do start getting into sourdough- including a thermometer which a lot of other kits don’t have. I was slightly disappointed that my kit was missing the scoring tool- I thought I could use a knife. I was wrong. The cloth/basket smelled a little funny at first. Just ended up using my own towels.

This kit has everything a beginner sourdough baker needs, will be buying more kits for friends to give as a gift with some of my starter. Love love love this product and can’t give it enough praise

Everything came as pictured. The little cloth is very thin, just a step above cheesecloth but not flimsy. It's working great for me.

Did not receive all the tools. Only the basket came in the box. Be aware before you start making your bread to double check everything is there

I've baked bread for years but not sourdough. I don't like how sour it can be. But I have discovered that you can make it delicious without being so sour so I wanted to get the tools I need to make it properly. This set has everything I will need to get started, including a basket to set it to rise, a bench scraper, a cutting blade, a whisk made for stirring bread dough, and other things. There's nothing so delicious as bread fresh from the oven, covered in melted butter. These will see a lot of use!

This is a good starter set. None of the items are super high quality, but adequate for beginner sourdough making. The fabrics of the liner and cover are pretty course, the silicone brush is small, and the lame is a bit flimsy. But it all works well for the occasional baker.

I've been making sourdough for years and have acquired all of the necessary tools over time. I remember paying the same amount for a single proofing basket as this entire set costs. I got this set for my daughter-in-law who is starting to make sourdough bread. This set has everything you need and the quality is decent enough, better than expected for the low cost of this set. The only item I can think of that would make this set truly complete is a starter jar with volume measurements.I helped her make her first loaf of sourdough using all of the tools in this set and everything worked great and the loaf turned out awesome. Over time, she will want to upgrade some of the pieces in this set, such as the dough whisk and the thermometer, but they are definitely good enough for beginners and should last a long time. The banneton is just like ones I paid a lot more for during the pandemic when prices for sourdough making supplies were skyrocketing.This set is really great for beginners and intermediate bread makers. For the price, it's really a no brainer.
