The History of Graphic Design. Vol. 1, 1890–1959 (Multilingual Edition)

As an owner of the Vol. 2 History of Graphic Design book, I decided to order this to complete the set and was pleasantly surprised to see this book is just as gorgeous as its 1960-2019 counterpart. The pages are huge and filled with stunning images and detailed descriptions in multiple languages. Unfortunately, the book I received did have some corner damage, but it wasn't enough for me to want to send it back but it is something to note if you are looking to collect these books in pristine condition.

Amazing.

I recommend everybody and anybody that is pursuing a full-time graphic design career, or creative career should read this book. The illustrations and graphics are astounding to look at. The historic moments in the book are insightful and inspiring to read about. Highly recommend it.

Any communication design student or professional need to get this series! The price is right for all of the amazing images that are packed into these two books. Both books cost as much as “The History of Graphic Design” by Meggs et al. But these books have more images, easily.

As many are saying, great quality, large book at a great cost of, right now, 45.99. For any designer or commercial artist this is a great deal!!

What an absolutely beautiful book! I bought this as a gift for my graphic artist son but it's so gorgeous I may need to buy another for myself. It's also a lot less costly at Amazon than at Tashen.

Absolutely beautiful book. All the prints, the designs and typography are just stunning. Just knowing that back then there were no computers and the designs still are impeccable. Highly recommended.
