Easy to use and fun to have on the counter
Very handy given that my new microwave does not have a timer function if it is in use. Easy to use and fun to have on the counter.

Great timer I use it for my outdoor kitchen
Great timer I use it for my outdoor kitchen. Beeps loud enough for me to hear it. Nice feature is when the timer goes off and it stops its countdown and starts counting up. So if for some reason you miss the timer going off you know how much you missed it by. This is second one the first one lasted 9 years. Highly recommended.

The directions are super clear - but don't explain how to set it ...
Oh my. It's hard to see the screens, the light lasts a mere 5s if that, and to make it more worthless it only counts down in minutes, no seconds can be set. Example: I want to set it for 1 minute, 20 seconds so it will beep after. The directions are super clear - but don't explain how to set it for seconds. I even asked here, and the customer support literally cut and paste from the directions that were shipped with the device.Yeah, the clock works I guess. Not why I purchased this. The timer is not suitable for precise time management or for low temp dabs.

Pretty basic kitchen timer
I like the design of this timer and have had a lot of Polder kitchen products that I have been pleased with--they put some nice innovations into the simple kitchen timer. Unfortunately this model doesn't really meet my expectations--I thought turning it over would start the timer (like a sand timer), but all it does is change the display from the countdown/countup timer to a clock displaying the current time. The backlight stays lit for a moment after pressing the button but doesn't strobe when the timer goes off, which one of my other Polder models does. I did drop this timer once and it was okay but one of the clear lenses over the display popped out and was easily wedged back into place. (I was thinking of removing the lenses as they have a glare over the display but then realised they had a magnifying effect that I preferred.)I think some more focus group work could have improved the design of this product--can't help but feeling that the action of turning it upside-down should have a better function--a missed opportunity there.
