Learning Zorin for Seniors
This is the 3rd wo-we mini pc that I received from Amazon. The first one had an ubuntu os and I tried to open the bios to install Zorin os 17.1 Pro. I could not open the bios with help from Amazon. Amazon service sent me the second one, Fn2 could not open the bios. I bought the unit e/w Windows 10, and I opened the bios and loaded Zorin OS 17.1 Pro without a problem. The Zorin os loaded flawlessly.I'M 80 years old I am in the process of weaning myself off windows a.d learning, Zorin. My next step will be to upgrade tokayhe Wo-We to a 1tb ssd with 32 gb of ddr4 memory with anadditional storage of 2tb 2.5" ssd.

Waste of Time & Money!
I know that not all the Mini PCs are bad even the cheaper ones. I bought this one for myself to be used to surf the web & watch things on my TV in the living room & cut out ads with Firefox Addons. Unfortunately even after upgrading it to 16GB of Memory its still slower than molasses in January. I think I could get a quicker response time from a 286 PC or an older 8086 or 8088. So I either got the factory screw up, or its just complete garbage. I tried using Ubuntu, Ubuntu-Mate, and Mint Linux none of which made any difference in performance. I have NEVER had any PC run this slow on Linux. I will not be buying another Mini PC & even less anything with this brand name on it! Buy yourself a refurbished Dell or HP at least they have much better hardware in them most times some of which are game-able with a dedicated GPU & larger PSU. Again this was for surfing & watching things on my TV, nothing demanding so it SHOULD have worked fine.

It's a budget $99 pc nothing more
I have bought a few of those in the past. Under different names..They are good budget computers with limited abilities. Cooling is the big factor on these units. The CPU thermal throttles due to high temperatures. These AMD chip are known for slowing down due to heat. That is what causes these computers to lock up and lag. If you don't redo the thermal paste on the CPU, you're going to be disappointed with your purchase.Fix: Open the computer up. Remove the CPU cooler. Clean off the thermal paste from CPU and heatsink. Lightly sand the plate on heatsink (only) and apply new thermal paste to the CPU (evenly). Next on the bottom of the case, use a drill bit to widen the holes on the air vent grill in the center.Don't bother with a 16gb ram upgrade is not worth the performance. The CPU is the bottleneck

Windows is NOT activated
Hello, IT professional of 10 years here. The Windows install does NOT come activated with this mini PC. You will have to buy and provide your own Windows 10 Pro key if you want to keep this install. That's shady, and pretty sure that's against Microsoft's terms of service for selling new PC's with Windows installed. Not cool at all. This did come factory sealed, so no chance of this being a "used" item.As far as the performance goes, if you're going to keep Windows, you'll probably need to be somewhat of an IT tinkerer to get useless background programs and processes removed or stopped. That's the only way you'll be able to get a usable experience here.I'm assuming most Linux distros will provide quite a better user experience, but again, IT tinkerer's only.I actually wanted to review this machine on YouTube to show what sort of games could actually play on an $80 computer, but can't recommend it to the average user at all unless willing to do some of the IT work to get it where it needs to be.You will also most likely want to switch to at least a dual channel, 3200MHz 8GB (2x 4GB) set, at minimum. Can be found on Amazon for about $12.I did try Bioshock and it ran at 30FPS with everything cranked at 720p, so I'm not doubting it can play pretty much any 2D indie game and older 3D games at various settings and resolutions. The memory upgrade will also help boost this.Disappointed, but if you just want it to throw Linux or Steam OS on or something of the sort, and you know what you're doing, could make for a nice cheap box. Can't really recommend otherwise.

Great as long as you recognize its limits.
PrefaceI have alot of experience with computers and have been building computers since I was 17.Right off the bat this is not a super computer, it won't handle dozens of tabs or hardcore gamingIts not the fastest horse in the race is what I mean to say but It will get you to the finish line eventually. You can play older games like league of legends or older emulator games. You can browsing the web just fine but don't expect to edit videos, stream, or do anything too heavy for the cpu.But for light work like typing, browsing the web it is very capable.5/5.

Great Price - Buy a license!
I bought the Mini PC to have a computer in the garage to use for researching things while I work on old computers - like a schematic or info on a chip etc. The price is great. I works right out of the box. The one thing I've seen people complain about is they didn't know they had to purchase a license for your copy of Windows 10 Pro. It was not a big deal to me. I didn't expect it to have an activated copy of Window 10 on it for $90ish dollars. The license is not expensive. I got mine on Kinguin.net. The Windows 10 Pro online Activation key is $24.99. If you don't want to go that route then purchase the Linux version. I believe the Operating System is free. Now it won't win any races on speed so do not buy it for a gaming PC...if you want that buy a GAMING PC. If you want something low priced and able to do small things like your email or surf the web or like me for referencing or light office work, you will be fine. It is not made to crunch numbers or play high end games. In conclusion, for my purposes, It is a great buy. BTW, you can upgrade the RAM from 8 to 16 gigs which give it a bit more punch.
