Turtle FurThe Hat Watch Cap Original Fleece Heavyweight Beanie

I love this brand. It balances being lightweight, great fitting (for me) and warm enough. Lots of beanies look the business, but just don't protect my dome (and ears!) from that cold winter wind. This one really does a great job. It's the right size, big enough, but not overly so. I love the feel of the fabric. And having previous Turtlefur branded stuff (a neck gaiter) I know this stuff tends to wear well, and last.I'm happy with this purchase.

When I took this hat out of its package, it didn't seem very impressive. It's not especially substantial (2.3 oz according to my kitchen scale) and acrylic fleece isn't remarkable these days. But the weather the other day here had a high temperature below zero (Fahrenheit) with a wind of 15 mph with gusts of twice that. This hat kept my head comfortable in those conditions for an hour. That's pretty impressive.The trick, I think, is that it's made of a double layer of acrylic fleece. And then the fabric is folded back upward (like a pants cuff) at the bottom for a couple of inches. So there are two layers of fabric at the top of your head and four layers over your ears. That makes it warmer than other hats that are bulkier and heavier.

I just purchased my second turtle hat. I live in Southern California, so I didn’t wear the first one out. I wore it when I went to Antarctica. I wore it when I went to NYC to see the Rockettes. I wore it when I went to Idaho in January…and somehow, somewhere, I left it there! I loved that turtle hat. It kept my head and ears warmer than any non-turtle hats I have. It’s no good for Southern California, but it great when it gets really cold.

When it's That Cold outside, I wear this one. It is the best watch cap that I own 4 of.

still a very good quality product. this is my 3rd one and it's very comfortable and warm. my dog tore a hole in my 1st one, ( 4 years old and i still wear it all the time ) the second one is a very thin one i wear when it's not as cold, now i have another tf hat and i also have the neck warmer that keeps my neck warm and toasty during those windy cold days and nights. you can't go wrong with these, to the op reviewing this as not quality, i say your nuts!!!

Turtle Fur is a great brand. Perfect mid weight for winter/cold weather. Quality and will last forever … unless you lose it, which is why this one was ordered. Haha.

I’ve had these in the past and wanted to replace one. It is very soft and warm! It is the warmest of all beanies in my opinion, and it covers your ears.

My bald-headed husband loves this hat. Keeps its shape, fits well. So soft and comfortable. Very warm. Getting him a beanie soon. Well worth the price.

I bought this for a recent 4 day trip to Banff and are very happy with this purchase. The material is very soft and the fit is perhaps just a tad large but prefer that way. Being slightly longer, you can pull down the hat to ensure your ears are well covered. Even with high blowing winds that made it feel a lot colder than -12C this hat kept my head very warm. It insulates your head from heat loss so well that after getting inside the ski lodge within minutes I had to take it off because it started feeling too warm.

It is amazing hat, I bought it for my boyfriend. He used to have one already and he bought his turtle fur hat from USA. It was amazing to find it at Amazon :) he is very happy to replace it again after years later :) I wish they had fleece gloves for men&womsn too that I would definitely buy for myself and my boyfriend..

I like my toque a little on the snug side and this one is perfect. Nice and soft and very warm. Not overly bulky like the knit kind. Fast delivery!

Soft warm cozy and the right size for my head.

My husband loves his "turtle fur" (a.k.a. fleece) watchman's cap. It has started to pill a bit already, but I have not washed it to see if that is a permanent problem.
