Why your new cv axle spike won’t snap into the front differential
This part fit my 2003 Suzuki eiger 4x4 after we figured out why the spline end that goes into the front differential was giving us a ton of grief. It turned out it was a simple fix if you know why it won’t snap in. Watch for a C-clip near the end of the spline… the aftermarket part’s C-clip is to open and end up binding as you try to slide the spline into the differential housing. Our quick fix was to take the C-clip off the old cv axle and put it on the new part. After we did that the part snapped in as it should. Not a big deal but a bit frustrating when you spend an hour trying to get the cv axle into place with the C-clip it came with. Just a heads up for anyone purchasing said cv axle from this supplier. I’d have given the part 5 stars if we hadn’t had to monkey with it to make it work. Hope this helps someone who might have a similar situation arise
