Good People Everywhere Review: Wonderful reminder of the everyday kindness around us - In a world when it seems easy to focus on the negative, and as we remember not only the lives lost on 9/11 but also the heroes who showed up to help, Good People Everywhere by Lynea Gillen has given our house a wonderful reminder of all the good that indeed exists around us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Like many parents, I send my children out into the world encouraging them to be kind to others. And like many parents, at the end of the day, my children often can’t remember how they’ve spread kindness and love. I’m finally realizing, however, that they’re thinking of acts of kindness as something big, momentous, potentially life-changing… When in reality, their days are full of kind things that they and the people around them do without even thinking! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Gillen’s Good People Everywhere serves as a great reminder that even the smallest, most seemingly automatic acts are indeed full of kindness, empathy, and care. From moms and dads cooking dinner to teachers teaching, musicians playing, and dancers dancing to farmers growing food, we remember how much people are helping others all the time. We see a girl trying her best at school, a teenage boy helping a small child at the playground, and a big sister holding her baby brother, and we are allowed to think, “That’s right! I do those things too. I am also a good person!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you, Lynea Gillen and Kristina Swarner, for this wonderful reminder to look for the good, both in ourselves and in others. Be sure to check out the extra resources and idea generators in the back of the book! Review: Lovely... - This is a really lovely, simple book, with great illustrations. It is a favorite of our 3 year old daughter. It is a great way to celebrate and inspire the goodness in the world... It does raise our daughter's questions about things like homelessness. For our family the book presents this topic in a way that is developmentally appropriate for early childhood. It stays focused on how we can ALL do something to reach out when people go through hard times. There is also a simple extension activity in the back where children are asked to imagine all of the good people in their lives. This is one of our favorite parts of reading the book.

sweet story
I love that this book reminds everyone from children to adults that we are all working together for the overall success for one another. From the gardener to those picking our food and then to those who drive food to the store for us to buy, this book has beautiful artwork and a simple story for all to enjoy.

So needed - for kids AND adults
With how much is happening in the world right now it’s a surprising breath of fresh air to read a book reminding us that there ARE good people doing good things everywhere right now. I love this book so much🥹

A book for Citizens of the World
This is a wonderful book for people of all ages! It was recommended and I bought it for my 2-year-old, then was it to a classroom of 4th graders, who also loved it. Showing children that good people are everywhere, and that they can be good people of Action, is crucial. Citizens of the world will love this book! I buy books for every children’s birthday gift, and have purchased 6 copies of this one so far.. I would love to feature it on my blog The Razzle Dazzle Mommy

Such a sweet and poisitive book.
I bought this for my three year old grandchildren and read it to both while visiting over the holidays. It has such a good message. It reminds me of how Mr. Rogers used to say "Look for the helpers!" Highly recommend. Beautiful illustrations too.

One of our favorite books
Absolutely love this book. Such a sweet and wholesome message and our 2 year old son asks to read it several times a day. Saw this book recommended on a Montessori blog and it closely adheres to the Montessori message of caring for your community and helping each other. We have already purchased several additional copies to give away as gifts. Buy it! You won't regret it.

Bought one for my daughters preschool
I checked this book out from the library and then had to buy one for my daughters preschool. Simple beautiful community affirming message without being preachy. Illustrations are also lovely. There should be more kids books like this.
