A LOT
Ever heard a dad ask "which weighs more; a pound of lead, or a pound of feathers?"Welp, 10 pounds is 10 pounds but 10 pounds of something that is light and dry is a substantial volume. That is a great value. I use it in my reptile tanks to help retain moisture, but it's also great for potted plants.

Does the job
Ordered for my son's new ball python. He said it was easy to use and great bedding. He used both for a 40 gal breeder tank.

Can’t say anything more better about the item
Very good item. You get a lot for those two little blocks. Once you break them up with the water you get a lot you get your moneys worth absorbent. It holds the humidity in your tank real well.

Great value and easy to use, some plastic and clay found mixed in
I bought this to try out in a ball python enclosure, overall I am pretty happy with it. The bricks are a great size for freezing. I froze mine for several days and used boiling water to hydrate it. One brick filled about 1/3rd of a 5gal bucket and fully covered the bottom of a 36”x18” 50 gallon enclosure. I will probably use 4-5 bricks to achieve 4 inches of coverage. The substrate is a mix of fiber and chip and I did find some large clumps of clay mixed in as well as string and some little bits of plastic, just be sure to sort through it. This is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. This holds moisture well and reconstituted quickly. It is very soft, left no splinters in my hand and has a nice earthy smell. The picture I included of the enclosure is one brick.

Tortoise bedding
I use this for my tortoises substrate. I used to use the Coco coir that is much finer and if that dried out too much it would become very dusty, this doesn't do that. It also absorbs water/moisture very well and holds it. My tortoises like it, or at least they don't like when it is not there. One block is more than enough (some left over) for 3" deep in a 2' x 4' indoor enclosure. Two blocks fill their outdoor enclosure 1" deep that is about 12' x 8'. Rough estimates.

Coconut fiber
Good product better than substrate plus the price is way better than Petco. They want $13 for one brick.

Shredded trash in the bedding
When I added water to the coconut husks to expand them, I discovered that the bedding was full of plastic wrappers that looked like they were shredded up with the coconut husks. The bedding was full of this plastic. I would like my money back and I do not want to send this product back. It has been expanded by water, and is now 20 gallons big.
