Easy to use with gentle flow
I have been using a manual squeeze bottle for nasal irrigation for many years. Dr Shark was an opportunity to see if an electric version would be easy and more effective. The package contains the main unit, multiple nose pieces, the charging cable, and salt packets. The nozzles come in two colors which I assume is so that another family member can share the base. The instructions do not recommend how long the nozzles are good to use. The instructions are pretty thorough. They are long but it seems to cover most of the steps involved and how to care for everything.I started on low but found the volume of liquid was too low to have any effect on my mucus. With my manual bottle, the stream is faster and a higher volume. Even at medium, the spray felt slow to cycle through my nostrils. It may simply take time for me to find the right setting and angle for this to be effective. The basin holds 300 ml of water. The dongle that takes up the water is flexible so it will lean towards where the water pools in the basin. Don’t expect to use up all the water because it will never get the last bit which is the same for the manual bottle. The salt packets is the one thing that I am not sure about. The concentration of salt seems very weak compared to the manual squeeze bottle brand. I tasted a small amount of each and the Dr Shark version tastes dilute. If this is used for basic daily cleaning, it’s probably fine. For colds and mucus, this may not loosen stuff as well. I’m not a medical professional so I can’t be sure, but this could be something the research further as it could alter the effectiveness.I was very happy to find it easy to clean out the device. I wash the nozzle with warm water and soap. The main base needs to rinse through with a refill of water to flush out the tubing.

Great product
Easy to use and well designed. A lot better than the squeeze bottle method.

Awesome!!!
I’ve used a neti pot for years. I’ve been reviewing these new/latest varieties. This is an advancement in cleansing my sinuses with ease and more power especially when I’m very clogged & it did the job!!! Thx u!!

Not overly impressed
This nasal irrigator definitely provides a good flow of water into the nose. Everything works as it should.Be sure not to use tap water. It does come with 6 tips. 3 tips are blue and 3 tips are white. I am not really certain of the reason for the 2 colors. I suppose so you can share with a family member and keep them separated, but if that's the case i would prefer each of the nozzles to be a different color instead of 3 of each.Turning it on is just a quick press of the power button and water starts flowing almost immediately so be prepared. It turns off just the same. I would recommend being certain to do this over a sink or somewhere you are not worried about water spilling because I had it everywhere. This irrigator moves quite a bit of water quickly at least in comparison to the pre-filled cans.A couple things I don't like. It does say distilled water is ok but doesn't say if its ok to use distilled without the salt packets or if they should be used even with distilled water. The tank doesn't empty completely even though the instructions say to be certain it is emptied so no mold or other bacteria grow. Finally the description notes that cold water isn't ideal, especially for beginners. It also notes a thermometer comes with this unit. I haven't found a thermometer as part of the unit or separate. I think this would be better if it had a heating capability to make sure the water was at the ideal temperature for comfort. I would gladly wait a minute or two for the water to heat up if it makes it both more effective and more comfortable.I'll keep using it in hopes of getting more used to it but for now I still like the disposable cans better as even on low this unit moves a lot more water that I am just not used to. Again everything works as it should, so far it's just not for me.
