I LOVE this book!
I LOVE this book! I grew up on F1, literally since I was born (though obviously don't remember those early years), and I found this fascinating.I love that I remember a lot of the battles and personalities mentioned, but there was still so much new behind the scenes information I learnt. It was great to see an unbiased and "unsensationalised" version of most of the historical F1 events.I liked how each section was split, and even though there was minor back and forth in time, it worked well given the chapter subjects. However, I was surprised they didn't actually name Jules Bianchi when mentioning the safety car crash.I completely devoured this and I wish they'd written even more. I am still haunted by Abu Dhabi, 2021 - that's something I'll never forgive Michael Masi for and reading this chapter brought it all back, but then also reading the Silver Bullet chapter gave me goosebumps recalling that memory. It covers how the sport evolved from just the private elite into the media sensation it is today. Showing how a lot of the main teams evolved over time and the struggles they and the FIA went through to keep the sport alive.Overall, if you have any interest in the sport then I can't recommend this enough, it's full of the great moments of the sport.

interesting appraisal of Formula 1 from American eyes
F1 is now owned by Liberty ex USA.This book details the history to popularize / simplify for the Yoof generation.

Started well but dragged on
I read the sample. Was great, all about technical aspects of F1. The first half was good with a good section about Enzo, but the last half about Bernie and Liberty just dragged on. The book is varied but switches between English (and I mean UK) and then switching to US English and terms. Is an oddly written book, jarring at some points

Different view on formula 1
I have to admit I am a self confessed Motor head (not the band!!). Anything that involves 4 wheels and racing has always been part of my life. I have been watching Formula 1 on the TV since I can remember and still follow that and other motorsports to this day.I’ve read a number of books on motorsports and Formula 1 in the past but this one was different. It was comical from the very first chapter and was extremely engaging. It’s looking at Formula 1 in a different way. It’s very interesting to read about the characters and sports history in a different and comical way.I found this really easy to read and really enjoyed it from start to finish. A must read book for those that enjoy everything Formula 1!@joshrobinson23 @cleggjon @octopus_books_ @randomthingstours @randomttours #theformula

An interesting insight into F1
@fatguyreadingThe Formula is a book I very much enjoyed.I'm a big F1 fan, have been for about 25 years, so I've seen alot on the sport and have a decent knowledge. But the Formula expanded that knowledge and opened up areas I knew little about. The book ranges in topics from the origins of F1 right up to the present, mainly focusing on the owners and the cars there are some interesting stories on the drivers too.As we F1 fans know, F1 is relatively new to the American market, and this books serves as a great overview for the millions of new American F1 fans. But that's not to day seasoned fans or fans from other countries wouldn't enjoy this, as I'm sure they would. For me, it's an incredibly well written book and very engaging. It's insightful and It's a book you could quite easily dip in and out of, or like me, read it in only two sittings.Four 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 's from me.

A great read for F1 fans
I love watching the F1 on the TV so I was intrigued when this book popped up. I did honestly think it would be heavy going but I was surprised to find it read like a story, which has had so much well thought out research gone into it that I was astounded by the amount I did not know and now know. It is a serious story that needed to be told about how F1 is evolving and everything else in between. This is perfect for F1 fans and a really interesting read that I will be recommending all the time.

If you have any real interest in what F1 is about today..
..this is the book to read. Well written and fast moving with lots of fascinating information. Reads like fiction—a plus—and the research that went into it must have been incredible.
