Truth or Truthier Truth- A New Get-to-Know-You Game for Friends

This is a nicely done game that is an adult version of the childhood truth or dare game I would play as a kid. The design is clean and modern. The game is super easy to explain so you can start playing quickly, which I think is important for a group game or party game. As you can see in the photos, there are two cards you can draw from, the regular more toned-down "truth" cards that have fun get-to-know-you questions on it and the more intense, crazy "truthier" cards that can be more deep or embarrassing. Playing this game is a great way to quickly get to know people in ways normal chit-chat would never accomplish. My husband and I had some friends over the other night and played this. It was a riot and a nice nod to our younger truth or dare games when we were kids.

Played this game in two scenarios... with low key friends and very loud family members. Had so much more fun with the latter! With low key people it’s just not as fun- it kinda drags on. The game is designed for people to open up about some things that are serious, so if you’re already playing with serious types.. it gets boring. I was bored! With my crazy family, it was a riot. Funny thing, I would not bring a more risqué game to my family because it would be too much but definitely with some low key friends. The game “Never Have I Ever” was waaaaay more fun and hilarious with these low key friends but I would NOT play that with my entire family.

Ever have a major breakthrough with your therapist? Of course not! Who can afford the 3 years of required buildup to that moment when you’re being charged $90 and hour??? No one. On the other hand, do you often share WAY too much personal information with semi-strangers? Happens to us all. Well, guess what? This game overcomes both of those issues! This game creates a unique environment where you’re able to safety open up about that time you lied in order to get out of sex AND finally reach a place of closure with your inability to accept unconditional love from others. Win-win, my friends. Win-win. I used to wonder why my mom withheld approval from me. Not anymore. All my neighbors once avoided me because of the kimchi diarrhea story I shared at the July 4th block party. Now I host the neighborhood game night. Every. Other. Tuesday. (after The Bachelor recap). That’s right, I’m at the top of my game, folks, and it’s thanks to this maritime innovation of glee and wonder! You need to get and you need to get it now. Get it and join me on the healing journey of connection and self-discovery, while also peeing your pants from overwhelming joy!!!!!

Some of the questions we already knew, but some we had never thought to ask each other before. It is a cute little game to get to know each other better and start conversations.

This is a very fun game! I even get to know my wife better when playing- heard some stories I’ve never heard before. We recently played with some of our cousins and it was a blast. Crazy how much you can find out about people that you’ve known most of your life. Definitely recommend.

Great ice breaker

We played this game recently at a party. It’s not competitive (always a plus around my friends) and super easy to play, plus it’s a fast way to get to know new people. It’s super easy to make new friends with this game, and REALLY get to know your current friends. 10/10 would recommend for groups of people that don’t know each other very well, or super close friends who enjoy sharing their best stories.
