Vedic Numerology

Vedic numerology is an Indian numerology, which is quite different from the Western (Pythagorean) numerology. There are very few books on Vedic numerology available in the U.S. market, it is a specialty, they way how they analyze numbers is different, properties of numbers sometimes match Pythagorean numerology, sometimes do not. For a person who is interested in numerology, such book can be interesting to read to at least understand the differences, and they book does a good job explaining on a high level how different numerology systems compare. A very large part of the book, at least a third, is a discussion of how Vedic numerology grid is interpreted. This is a 3x3 table, with predefined position of numbers. Numbers are calculated from date of birth, maybe name, maybe some other calculations. Creation of the grid is where this is where the book absolutely, totally fails. Just six pages, page 83 to 90, "Creating the numerological grid: step by step guide" is so incredibly poorly written to the point that it is impossible to understand. As if the author intentionally tried to confuse readers and make sure they do not understand it and never learn the secret of Vedic grid. The only example, a very hard to read picture on page 86, does not seem to be linked to the text at all and makes things only more confusing - why is the name on it? Does the name go into the grid? How? Does destiny number goes into the grid? Nothing in the text explains it. In one place the author says the first two digits of the birth year do not go into calculation, and right there, he shows calculation with all digits of the year. Come on! After that, a suggestion to go and create grids of 50 individuals (page 95) sounds not even as a joke but as insult. Hey, why would you start with explaining clearly how to put numbers into this grid and show us a few examples how to do it? If that part had been clearly written, they book would be very useable and I would rate it high. But in the present form, it is totally useless, a total waste of your money. Its, like, impossible to decipher. Another downside is the repetitive nature of the book: the same sentences repeat themselves in several paragraphs on the same page. This is a relatively small thing, but very noticeable.

(I was expecting something very different, so I am returning, but...) I was sorely disappointed with this book. It was cleraly written with AI - which I REALLY don't have any issues with. What I do have issues with is not revising what the AI suggested. In this case, you're dealing with repeated content (in some case 5 times ina row), inconsistency (22 as a master number is discussed under 2, but 11 is not discussed at all - either none or all, please), poor explanation of Dasha etc., and just general hard to understand in a lot ofplaces. There are no less than 3 different chapter/section 2, in a row, for how to draw up the chart. There's good info, but you will have to dig and collate it yourself.

The unique dasha system is particularly impressive in its precision. I would love to see the author include more examples in the predictive section, especially showcasing the application and interpretation of the dasha system. That said, this book is truly a gem and a must-have for anyone serious about numerology!

Je reconnais que j'ai été vraiment bluffé par la précision des informations. Il y a une interprétation du 4 qui est assez différente de la numérologie occidentale. Pour eux, le 4 c'est Rahu et ça signe les rebelles, les gens qui ne rentrent pas dans les normes (surtout pour ceux qui ont le chemin de vie 4). Les techniques prévisionnelles sont également intéressantes et pleines de potentiel.
