Great violin tape
I teach beginning Orchestra at a small private school, and this is the easiest violin tape I’ve ever used! It peels off easily, and it’s easy to apply to the fingerboard.

Great!
As a violin teacher, I have used these regularly! I love them and I love how they’re exact measurement.

Price is Fair
I played the violin as a child in elementary school and was quite good, playing years above my grade level allowed me to play solos for the school and play in the Arlington, Texas Symphony. We moved to Oklahoma where there was no orchestra in the public school system. That was nearly 50 years ago. Each year, I've promised I would re-string my beloved violin and learn to play again. I was so excited when I saw these that I didn't bother to read carefully. I thought the strips would also have the music notes on them as well. I need a refresher course in reading music. At first, I thought, ' how silly, I could cut these from my scrapbook stickers'. I could. I remember my violin teacher using masking tape when we first started playing. It sticks in my head, as it took me so long to remove. I don't think the thickness is so important. We weren't allowed to look at it constantly as we played. It was a guide as we first put our fingers on the violin before playing. I do know that I could make my own, but considering the price, amount that you receive and basically, the question being-did I receive what was advertised and is the quality what one should expect, I guess that answer is yes. I can't say if they come seamlessly off of my violin, which will be the main issue for me. I don't want to play around with my in excellent condition Stradivarius (for sure an antique by now).

Simple fingerboard tapes for your violin
These are simple fingerboard tapes, nothing special but nice to have.Since my violin is in storage while the house is being renovated, I can't place them, but I am looking forward to using them.I am not sure about the silver color and how that is going to look on the violin. I think I would have preferred white or off white or something closer to the fingerboard color. However, since these are only for me to use while I am getting comfortable with finger placement, the color should not be a problem. It might have been nice to have some with the notes labeled but that might be asking too much.Playing violin is something that I always wanted to do but learning the correct finger placement when frets are not marked has been challenging. All other string instruments I have played have frets. Without frets, I always feel that my finger placement is just not quite right, so these should help boost my confidence. They can be removed once I have built up my confidence on finger placement.

Moves around at the slightest touch
I bought these tapes for ease of use, unfortunately, if you touch them just a bit they will move around and you will have to reposition them.
