Amazing Product for this Price Level
The PLZ Car Stereo was purchased to replace a defective factory Bose Car Stereo in my 2003 Infiniti I35. There are so many things that I love about the PLZ especially at this price point. This is a quality unit indeed. The installation manual is a heavy bound printed booklet with clear instructions and helpful tips to ensure success in every step. You will need some additional accessories depending on your car and your needs: double din bezel, wiring harness, antenna adaptor, and optional steering wheel control adaptor. Once I hooked the PLZ stereo up, my initial reaction was WOW! Boot time was relatively fast. The screen was reactive and bright (even in daylight). The wireless Carplay feature updates the technology in my 23 year old car. It connects effortlessly. The included reverse camera image is amazingly bright and sharp. Once you adjust the angle of the tilt, the grid lines are accurate. I pointed mine as far down as possible just enough to see a tiny bit of the bumper. The sound is loud and clean after some adjustments for the stock Bose amp & speakers (see below). I love streaming spotify (no more FM bluetooth adapters) Added bonus is the customer support. You email the person to get a custom logo done plus an updated firmware. I was able to follow the directions and the update was flawless. The person even followed up to make sure that my update was completed successfully. Overall, the PLZ unit is worldclass. I am super surprised and happy with my purchase. The company obviously thought of everything to make a quality product at the cheapest price possible. They also go out of their way to make sure that we are successful in installing their head unit and to enjoy it. There are many positive reviews and I fully agree. Some tips for others with old complex Bose Car Stereos: If you decide to replace the head unit only and keep the Bose Amplifier and speakers, use a Scosche SLC4 Line Output Converter. It allows you to boost the 2V output from the PLZ to a level that sounds loud enough using the Bose gear. Add an inexpensive under seat subwoofer, it makes a world of difference to the sound.

Me gustoGreat Upgrade for My Car!
I’m very happy with this car stereo. The touchscreen is responsive, the display is bright and clear, and the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect quickly every time. The sound quality is much better than my old radio, and the Bluetooth connection is stable for calls and music streaming. The backup camera was a nice bonus and works well, making parking much easier. Installation was straightforward, and all the features function as advertised. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price and has made driving much more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Amazing Single DIN, Digital Screen! Easy to install!
Overall, I thought this digital car display was an excellent product! I thought it was appropriately priced and does everything it says does. I was a little hesitant that it would fit my car which is an old 1999 Toyota Corolla, however, it fit very well, although I had to take the harness that it came with off. I was also surprised that the brackets for the original cassette player that I was replacing this digital display with fit perfectly on this device. The dashboard cover mostly fits back onto the dashboard, except a little on the b bottom, but it's not really noticeable as the screen covers that; the vents also still work well. I also had to go and buy a cable that converts the connectors in my Toyota Corolla to the standard ISO connectors that connect to the back of this digital display (labeled A and B on the back of the device). For anyone interested, I got it for $12 here: https://a.co/d/0x2yaST This connector works for most Toyota models (the supported models are listed on the item page, but I'd still recommend checking to make sure they will work for your car model). The display is a little big for my car, as shown in the pictures since it covers the vents and some of the air controls below. I don't really mind this, however. I like that it's a really big display and easy to see. The display has a micro SD card reader and can also read from USB drives. From this, you can play videos, view photos, and listen to music stored on the device. The radio works fairly well and the original radio antenna fits into the back of this digital display. The sound from the radio is a little muffled, however, but I don't really use the radio much, so it wasn't a problem. A phone connected with Bluetooth has two ways of interfacing with with digital display. The built-in software of the device can do some basic functions like play music, receive calls, and make calls, which seem to work fairly well. I don't really use this feature as Android Auto has all of these features, plus a lot more. The device supports both wired and wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. However, I had a lot of trouble getting the wireless Android Auto to work well with my LG G8 phone. But, the wired Android Auto basically works instantly when I connect my phone and the digital display with a USB-C cable. As a plus, the digital display has a fast-charging, 3A USB port in addition to the regular port used to connect wired Android Auto. The Android Auto seems to work really well. The audio from the music is very clear, sounds really good and its loudness is ample. Google Maps is very handy and works very well, very similar to how it works on your phone. The Google Assistant is nice when it works, which usually does work for me. I have had an occasional bug where the Google Assistant responses can't be heard. Disconnecting Android Auto and reconnecting, however, seems to fix this. In addition, the Google Assistant voice is a little muffled, but this doesn't bother me that much. I can't really make much use of calling and texting through Android Auto since I have a Google Voice number that I use for texting and calling. There is a Google Voice application on Android Auto, which is nice, however, I can't compose new messages or call people from the Android Auto Google Voice app. I can only reply to messages and answer calls. This is less so a problem with the digital display and more a problem with Android Auto support. I can also customize some of the positions of the widgets and the menu bar from the Android Auto settings page on my phone. My phone is a little older with Android 11 and is no longer receiving updates, so I think that the reason I'm having wireless connection issues is because of my phone and not the digital display. I had a few problems with the wireless Android Auto. First, when I first connected my phone to Bluetooth, even though Android Auto was already installed, I had to manually start Android Auto by going into the phone settings, clicking on "Connected devices", and then clicking on "Android Auto" which brought me to the Android Auto settings page. Then, I found that the wireless Android Auto would work best when first setting up, by going through the Android Auto settings, pressing "CONNECT A CAR", pressing "Connect using wireless Android Auto", and then following the steps to connect with Bluetooth from there. Another error I had was when Android Auto would start to connect, but would then show an error on the phone saying "Communication error 17 - Something went wrong". This would only happen sometimes, however, and I found that the best way to fix this was to go under Developer options and enable the Bluetooth Gabeldorsche feature stack which is basically the newer version of the Android Bluetooth system used on the latest devices. Another thing that I think helped the connectivity was disabling "Media audio" usage for the Bluetooth device. I think when this is enabled, my phone treats the digital display as a wireless speaker, and that inhibits Android Auto from properly recognizing the digital display as an Android Auto device. Again, I think these wireless connection issues were largely due to my older phone and not the digital display. The included backup camera was also easy to install. You do need a tool to strip the ends of the wires to connect to the backup light and one wire going to the digital display. I got the camera working with very little hassle and it is very clear during the daytime. During the night, the camera looks a little hazy, but it still shows you clearly what's behind you. Overall, the digital display works very well and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking to upgrade their car!

Nice quality and seamless install.
Nice product for the price. Great looking display. Install was strait forward with reasonably good instructions (2003 Nissan 350Z). Unit functioned as expected and was easy to setup and pair with CarPlay. Customer service was very responsive when asking for firmware update/boot screen changes. Overall very happy with purchase.

It was a very nice upgrade
It works well for me, but it is not perfect. I think that it is definitely worth the price point. Sometimes it has little operational glitches, like not connecting to your phone or audio while using the GPS. It doesn’t bother me enough to write a scathing review about it. The device has physical buttons, which was a must for me because I have had the digital sensor buttons break on me in the past. It comes with a microphone and a backup camera that need to be installed with the radio, but it does allow you to use Siri and install a backup camera on a base model vehicle like mine. I bought the device to tryout Apple CarPlay as all of my friends tell me it’s the best thing ever and I am satisfied with what I got. The device supports androids equivalent to CarPlay, but I have never used it because I do not have an android. My iPhone normally automatically connects to the radio as soon as my car is turned on, which really makes access very easy. I can just ask Siri to play music or get directions from there. I’ve had it installed for about five months now and it’s holding up well.

PLZ Radio
This is a great radio for the price. The instructions that came with it were very easy to understand, which made the installation nice and simple. The install only took me 30 minutes or so, but I used a vehicle specific wiring harness that I bought separately that prevented me from having to cut any wires on my vehicle. The radio boots up and connects to wireless Android Auto very quickly. I would say that it connects faster than the stock manufacturer radios I have in other vehicles. The screen display is very clear and crisp. I have also had no issues with the display disconnecting, which was a concern when I first bought it as the screen sticks out from the radio an inch or two. I didn't know this when I bought the radio, but you can contact the manufacturer via email to have them make a custom boot up screen or wallpaper. The customer service was great and very fast even though we were a few time zones apart. It was as easy as emailing with the image I wanted as the new screen and including some software IDs found in the radio menu. This wasn't a make or break feature for me, but I think it is a cool bonus. The surprisingly good customer service is the reason I even decided to leave a review on the product. I also bought the kit that included the backup camera. The install was pretty simple. It just requires routing a single wire from the radio to the back of the vehicle. The clarity is also pretty good, which helps a lot as I installed this system on an older Pickup truck. I would highly recommend this radio to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive and high quality radio upgrade for their vehicle. However, I would also recommend finding a vehicle specific wiring harness kit so you don't have to mess with cutting wires on your vehicle.

2001 Tahoe Upgrade!
I’ve wanted an upgrade for a while now and I finally got to it! I was going for low cost with decent functions. I bought a new external amp a while ago just to get some sound and recently upgraded to a double din dash. With my new setup, I really don’t think I could’ve done better than this for the price. I know my truck has greater than 14V, so I went ahead and installed a 13.8V voltage regulator (per seller recommendation) before my radio head unit and another between my backup camera and reverse light. I haven’t had any problems with it so far. It’s been responsive and CarPlay function has been great and all that I needed. Since I have a road trip coming up with my kids, I’ve been thinking about a setup for watching movies and such for them in the back seats. The unit already has an RCA video output, so why not?! I also got an ATOTO CB6 (Magic AI box) I got cheap with a nice promo that allows me to use streaming services like Netflix and is compatible with the stereo wonderfully. I mean, with technology nowadays, the different setups are endless and starting with a low-cost head unit is the way to go. I also have it setup with a BT mouse that the kids can use in the back so I don’t have to do anything. I can save movies on the AI box as well. I also got a BT OBD2 adapter and BT tire sensors that I’m excited to use. I’m only talking about all these things to show that this unit can easily be upgradable! Going from a factory stereo to a double-din stereo in my truck has been a huge upgrade! Super happy with it. Lastly, I just want to add that customer support has been very responsive and very accommodating from their FB page. I reached out to get a software update and custom wallpaper and I got it next day. Update 5/8/26: I got rid of the mouse and got a Doohoeek Travel Keyboard with touchpad instead. It’s way easier to use than the mouse and it’s small—so much better! Everything still works great!

Surprising Quality, Good Customer Service
After owning this product for a few weeks, I am sharing my experience with this radio. As a FYI, I am VERY careful with purchases and research way too much before buying a product. After carefully looking through all of the low-cost units, I decided on this one. I am satisfied with the customer support. PLZ has been available to assist and has gone above and beyond every time I have reached out. I have communicated with them through email, and they have sent updates via email that have fixed any problems I’ve encountered. They also have included custom startup logos for my car. They do this in a timely fashion and are reliable and consistent in their communication. In terms of the radio itself, it has been an excellent purchase for the price. I needed an affordable unit for my daily driver, and this fit the budget. The Bluetooth for music is very reliable and clear - always connecting to my phone automatically. The EQ is good, with a sufficient amount of faders to adjust frequencies. It takes a steady hand to get the faders adjusted exactly how you want them, as they adjust very easily. The LEDs on the unit can be changed to a variety of colors, or can cycle through them all by default. The brightness is excellent, with the ability to adjust it very high or low, and it automatically adjusts to nighttime with my headlights. I also love that it has a blackout mode if you hit the top right corner to cycle it through the different brightness settings (daytime, nighttime, blackout). This is perfect for night driving where I don’t need to see the screen. The radio is easy to program presets, just find the station you want to save, and then tap and hold the preset you want to overwrite. The radio defaults to the radio upon startup, so make sure you have a decent station programmed so you don’t just have static when you first turn your car on. I would recommend purchasing an external microphone, as people expressed it was hard to hear me. This is expected for any unit, and for only $5-10 for a mic, it was no issue. When updating the unit via a USB drive, be sure to follow the instructions VERY carefully. You will likely brick your unit if you are not careful. When you start the install, the radio fades to black and stays black for a few seconds. I can imagine people thinking it didn’t work or glitched at this point and turning the car off or unplugging the USB drive at this point, but DON’T. Updates take about 5 minutes in my experience, but here’s the thing - other companies and units I’ve used do not provide updates at all! It is great to see a company that is providing customer support and cares about the customer experience beyond the initial release of the product. I did purchase this unit to install in my Ford F150 with Sync. I purchased the wiring harness in order to install this unit in my truck. I did not research enough because I cannot use Sync with this stereo. It does not have the AUX inputs. All in all, it does what it is supposed to.
