An excellent assessment of critical thinking for rulers and the rest of us.
Liked everything about the book. It should be included in every 'Psychology 101' course, as the principles still apply today. The author definitely knew what he was talking about. The book arrived in fairly good time, considering the COVID situation.

Hard read
Interesting, but I struggled to get through this book because of the broken up way it was written. I’m sure had I looked at the copy I purchased I would have picked a different copy and it would have made reading it easier for myself, that being said… While written in the early 16th century, “The Prince” is a seminal work on the use and abuse of political power. Power is a complex and multifaceted concept that has intrigued scholars and thinkers for centuries. It can be defined as the ability to influence or control the behavior of others, either through force, persuasion, or other means. Perhaps the most important thing is the way Machiavelli can compel us to reflect on our own priorities and the reasoning behind them; it is this intrusion into our own defenses that makes reading his writings an experience.

NICE
I needed this book for my Philosophy class. It did it's job - obviously. Price when I bought it was fair. Overall - a good purchase experience What I didn't expect is that how intrigued I was with this book - Machiavelli's The Prince. It just made sense!

Radical but necessary
Some of concepts are different than the norm but in a highly political environment it’s survival

re read it every January -
get the revised edition or one that cuts out all the examples - ( half the book ) You'll recognize some of the last names of modern Italy.
