Jeff Smith's New York Times , USA Today bestselling, award-winning BONE books are one of the most popular graphic novel series of all time. Read the fifth book in this thrilling adventure! Fone Bone and Smiley Bone strike out into the wilderness to return a lost Rat Creature cub to the mountains. It doesn't take long before they run smack into Rock Jaw, a sly and mighty mountain lion with a none-too-friendly disposition. Life gets even more complicated when they befriend a group of baby animals who have been orphaned by Rat Creature attacks. Everything comes to a head in an earth-shattering clash between Rock Jaw and Kingdok, the leader of the Rat Creatures. The fifth book in a wonderfully thrilling adventure series Authored by New York Times and USA Today bestselling, award-winning author, Jeff Smith One of the most popular graphic novel series of all time Review: For reading again and again - Both my sons have enjoyed this series of books and they are gradually working their way through them thanks to the great value of book sellers like this. I could not afford to buy them new. The added bonus is that my youngest, aged 9 rereads them over and over again. He really enjoys them. Highly recommended for 8 and 9 year olds. Really quick delivery and well-packaged. Will use these sellers again, thank-you. Review: Still a Thumbs Up! - "Do something quick small mammal, before we are all killed to death!" It is lines like these that assure you that you are in safe hands with Smith. This volume is essentially an extended chase scene on a cliff but we still get time to learn more about the plot, have a few laughs, get our heart-strings tugged and even philosophise on the nature of good and evil. The art is the same good stuff and manages to impart a tangible sense of danger. Crumbling ledges, rockfalls, and giant snapping beasties are all rendered with dynamic excellence and really brought to life. Smiley and Fone are the only main characters in this volume and it feels lighter than some of the previous books but it's still a Thumbs Up!

Great Bones of Fire
Though this is not my favourite in the series, Volume 5 is perhaps one of the funniest. Here we see Fone and Smiley on a mission to return Bartleby back to the home of the Rat Creatures. On the way they encounter a whole host of cute woodland creatures as well as the enigmatic Roque Jaw (or Rock Jaw as Smiley would have it!), which drives the strroy forward. The Rat Creatures and Bartleby really stand out for me in this book, adding to the comedy and at times even upstaging the Bone boys. However, I should mention that Volume five is not all about the jokes. There are a few heart pounding scenes with a rabid Kingdok and a claustraphobic trek through an underground cave tunnel to keep you on teh edge of your seats as well. All in all, another fine piece of work by Jeff Smith. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!

Bone... a childs entry into comicbook fandom.
I can't tell you how many people I have recommended Bone to. Every time I am in a comic book store and see a mother and a youngster looking for something to break into in the comic scene. The first thing that comes to mind is Bone. It's a great all ages book, it's well written and your kids will love it. With all the "adult" stuff out there... you really need to be cautious what your children are reading. Bone is quality and safe. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Après une erreur de commande ou la version ENG avait été reçue (version avec couverture souple), c'est une superbe reliure cartonnée qui nous est arrivée à la maison.
