First time to purchase 3 way chess, and didnt regret it! its so fun to play, and uses extra brain cells which is always good! Always out on the table to play on the go (we lay out a piece of paper next to it to mark whos turn it is)

The board is good, I received everything I expected to in terms of pieces. The letters and numbers along the sides are a bit ugly. For me the main problem were the instructions, or lack thereof. Figuring out how pieces move across the board, rules etc. has somewhat disrupted the gameplay, since the leaflet was lacking in so many specifics and information. Have tried to look online for a deeper understanding of the gameplay but resources are quite sparse. Would definitely recommend setting house rules etc, and would say that this board requires relitively experienced players to play. All in all, a (very) challenging brain teaser which I'm looking forward to playing more.

To be honest, I haven't played the game yet, we need another player, but it looks interesting, can't wait to give it a shot,

My hubby taught my 8 years old how to play, and after she taught me. Now, we have 2 boards, one for 2 players (when one of us cant play) and another one for 3 players. Its really good for practice strategies, focus, and get out our kids from the screen for while. My daughter loves play and we have a good family time. The quality is great and beautiful.

The Wooden 3 Player Chess Set is made of high quality, high contrast wood in red, white, and black. The hexagonal board folds in half and latches, providing three separate, padded storage compartments for each of the three sets of pieces. Handmade from some lovely woods and about half a yard wide, this board will add a definite “Wow!” factor to any sitting room, which is all to the good even if you don’t actually play that well.

It’s a good chess board and an interesting conversation piece but the rules for the game need better definition as there are too many variants. Personally I think the default rules of free for all don’t work well as trades leave 2 people short and 1 person up. Instead we prefer a play style where you must checkmate the player before you in turn order. So if you play white, black, red then white wants to checkmate red and wants to protect black from being checkmated by red - Black wants to checkmate white and prevent white from being captured by red - and finally red want to capture black and wants to protect white. In this method no longer do you get 2 people ganging up on one player, instead there is a push for balance at all times.
