Happy at first.
I was happy with the knife at first. Now the blade has loosened, and it opens itself in my pocket stabs my pants as I try to pull it out of my pocket for the price of this knife I expected better quality.Update: the seller reached out after I posted the review. They were more than happy to make things right. I will definitely purchase from this seller again.

Great knife… almost.
The g10 grips are spot-on. Shape and texture makes it easy to get a sturdy grip!Blade came very sharp out of the box and touches up easily with some time on a Arkansas stoneWould have been 5 stars but for the finish on the blade. Easily marred - didn’t even stand up to some heavy cardboard- that was surprising considering the cost of this knife. It’s not overly expensive but it’s also not a 5 and dime store toy either.

I will take one too
My husband had the task of finding his younger brother a gift. Well, that led to him finding this pocket knife and saying I will take one too. While he said it jokingly...I could tell he wanted it. I ordered two and he fell in love with his. The other one is a Christmas gift. I am grateful to know at least one gift under the tree will be liked. My husband can't stop looking at his, so I trust his brother will be happy.

Awesome knife!
I'm a bit of a knife snob. Over the years, I've been frustrated with poorly-made knives, some even at premium prices. So when I was looking for a tanto-point knife and found this one at a very reasonable price, I had my usual skepticism about it before receiving it. Even before opening the box, though, I started to suspect that fellow knife enthusiasts who want their customers to be satisfied had crafted this one. If you're looking for a quality knife to give as a gift, this one comes packaged in a high-quality, attractive box with a magnetic closure. When you open it, you'll see that all of the contents are contained in their own cutouts in the foam padding. Those contents include a knife case; a two-sided (as in, two different grits sharpening stone; an extra pocket clip and screws; a polishing cloth; and, of course, the knife itself. Like the box, all of the included accessories are top-notch. I used the stone to sharpen another knife and it worked great. The extra pocket clip will come in handy if the one installed on the knife ever loses its spring.Let's talk about the knife. WOW. The handle fits my large hand perfectly. The G10 handles are the right combination of smooth and grippy. I suspect they'd be a bit slippery if the knife or your hands were wet but in dry conditions, they're ideal. The fit and finish of the grips to the frame is exceptional. No gaps, and perfect shaping. Both methods of opening the blade (the thumb stud and finger tab) allow the blade to be opened quickly. There is NO slop in the movement of the blade or wiggle when it's open. The lock is strong. On some of my lower-quality knives, I can overcome the lock just by putting the back of the blade against a hard surface and leaning into the handle with my body weight. No such issues here. Frankly, you would have to be something really stupid to overcome the lock on this knife. The blade itself - another WOW. Right out of the box, it's razor sharp - both the edge and the point. The straighter-angled point of a tanto isn't always sharp, but this one is! I've been using it for a week or so in light- and medium-duty cutting tasks, and the razor sharpness of the blade hasn't diminished one bit. It is readily apparent that this blade is made of good steel. If you can't tell, I'm impressed with this knife. It compares well to knives that cost much more. I have looked for a replacement for my decades-old, well-used EDC knife from another, well-known manufacturer. If this one continues to perform as it has so far, it's likely going to become my EDC.If you want a well-made knife at a great price - with some included accessories to make a great overall package - look no further.

A little to "fat" for me.
Handle is a bit "fat" and short. I have big hands. But solid knife.

Expensive, but very well done.
I'm no knife expert, but I've collected a few over the years. This is the most expensive folding knife I've owned to date, but it looks and functions well for the price. It came very well packaged and presented. It would make an excellent gift for someone else or yourself. It was easy to open the box as it was held closed by embedded magnets. There was a bit of oil on the knife itself (to inhibit corrosion in storage), so it did take a few minutes to clean the excess off.The knife itself is larger than you might expect, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. In some above photos I showed the Holtzman's Gorilla knife next a Tac-Force TF-848 for a size comparison. The Holtzman's Gorilla kife fits in my hand better at the expense of not being as compact. The knife arrived razor sharp. Apparently, a magnet is used to hold the knife in the closed position and I didn't feel the resistance of a spring compressing as I closed it. It appears that the force needed to overcome the magnet is tuned to provide enough inertia to cause to blade to fully open, really well done. It takes some, but not too much force to open. Not worried about it opening in my pocket as there's apparently no spring under tension. The knife's finish and feel is excellent. I'm glad there's no serrations on the main knife edge as that would make sharpening more difficult. The knife's has a sharp angle between two portions of the edge which may make sharpening on an easy to use pull through knife sharpener a little challenging but shouldn't pose much of an issue using the included sharpening stone. Once fully open, there's no noticeable play with regards to the locking mechanism holding it locked in the open position. The movement of the blade between the open and closed position is pretty smooth. It also comes with a case, a sharpening stone with two grits, an extra pocket clip, and a cleaning cloth. Based on what I've read, the sharpening stone should be soaked in water (or used with oil) before using it to sharpen.
