Absolutely love this little dac/amp!
Ordered this after returning 3 other products to attempt to do exactly the same thing - get the best sound from my music via my phone. Nearly ordered this as the first but for various reasons I tried the 3 other products, really wish I'd just bought this and saved myself the hassle. It's superb, absolutely tiny and lightweight, excellent build quality, good accessories and simple to operate. Loaded up the Fiio app, paired it and updated it in about 5 minutes. Then had a play with all the various functions - the Bluetooth connection with LDAC enabled sounds better than my Sony headphones do in the same mode. The USB connection took a little learning, I had to change a setting and then WOW! Tidal sounded amazing, really shows the quality of the Dac and amp chips in the BTR15. A little EQ fiddling had me grinning and nodding my head in moments. So much better than a wireless connection. Bass extension was excellent and highly controlled, mids sounded perfect - no overstating, treble extension excellent and no sibilance. The soundstage is expansive and easy to place instruments/vocals. Both male and female vocals sound epic. Almost as good as listening to my speakers and hifi equipment, a very worthwhile upgrade to the sound quality available from my phone in a very portable device - Fiio gets a huge thanks for such a great product!

Improvement over the BTR5
Good battery life and has a lot more power compared to the BTR5 from Fiio.

Great unit with an app that requires some work
Very compact unit with a clear, powerful and uncoloured sounds. The EQ is incredibly powerful with its multi-band parametric EQ. It also has 3 user presets (useful for instance if one plans to use the BTR15 with three different headphones). The EQ and other advanced parameters can be controlled with an iOS/Android app . This is probably the weakest part of the BTR15. The app (I tested the iOS version) is far from perfect. EQ settings showed by the app are often off sync from the in EQ settings stored in the unit. Some settings have no explanation anywhere. Occasionally, the app needs to be closed and reopened. It's a real shame that the app is not at same level of the hardware. In my case it's a limited problem: I use the BTR15 only in Bluetooth mode and I use the app only to create the EQ presets and set the unit's general settings. After that, I will probably use the app very rarely as everything I need can be controlled directly on the BTR15 without app.The only major issue that I found is that if the EQ is enabled and the BTR15 is not on BT mode (ie it is in mode "PC" or "Phone") the sound disappears. In other words, one has to switch the EQ off in PC or Phone mode; otherwise the unit is essentially silent.Overall, I like the FiiO BTR15. It covers everything I need and it sounds great. It's also tiny and easy to use. Having said that, I liked the intuitive use of Fosi Audio N3 more and I would have liked to keep it. Unfortunately, I had to return the N3 and I bough the BTR15 instead because of the background noise of the N3.If you can live with the app in its current status and the eq that needs to be switched off when you don't use BT, the BTR15 will likely enhance your listening experience. If you want an headphones amplifier that does what it's supposed to do smoothly, you may want to look somewhere else.

Loud, and it sounds great
Brilliant device, I have it paired with my TV via Bluetooth so I can use some nice headphones for films and streaming music, and USB-C for PC and my phone, and it just makes everything better.

Excellent
Like most amazon products it's the cheapest, just. It's fine. It's a hundred pounds dac and amp, not hifi. For on the move it's fine

Buy the BTR7 instead
Ok sound at best, the BTR7, which I also own, sounds clearly better and is presently just 20£ more. Not as tiny and sleek, so if you don't care about sound you should go for the BTR15.

Sounds good however the EQ function doesn't work.
I have a number of FIIO products and have all worked well, however this is the first one with an app and firmware.Although the unit is well made the IOS app is very slow to respond and quite often changes or does not store the values provided in the EQ settings. It looks like the App is directly writing and getting data from the Dac.Once you have created one of the custom EQs you may be lucky and it will play, however if you stop playback the function will no longer work, The only way to get sound back is to change the EQ setting to 'BYPASS' mode.If this function worked correctly and it was more responsive it would be a great little DAC for headphone users that want to create a custom EQ.I've reset the unit, it has the latest firmware and app and issues remain. Conclusion - Returned.
