This is a clever bit of kit with good instructions. You need to know the type of wall you are fixing this to. When drilling, the holes need to be accurate and level. You will need to work out the height too. Wooden dowels are provided as wall plugs. I would consider using plastic plugs as an alternative. The wooden ones supplied, need to be drilled prior to fixing and can spin if the hole is too big. I had to 'cement' a couple in place and patch a hole by the door jamb before attaching the rail.There is a guide for the bottom of the door that requires a rebate to be cut in to it. I would consider using strips of wood nailed to the bottom of the door to create the groove if you don't have the tools to cut the rebate. My door is some way off the floor so I had to improvise. Preparation is the key here. Get the measurements right and the holes the correct diameter.

Very pleased with this. I was concerned when it arrived as looked less strong than I thought. I needed it to hang an original 1930s door that is too heavy for me to lift and it’s done the job very well. Feels sturdy and runs smooth. I can’t comment on fitting as my builder did it with ease but I think that says more about his skills than the door.
