While this toy is very educational and fun, it is not sturdy, so care must be taken handling it. Otherwise the book that came with it was very fun and written great for young stargazers. It is a great help in teaching kids visually how the plants are and locating stars in the night sky.

Too small
On the picture this set looked decent size but once we got it its tiny, the balls are very small, pluto is so small that we had hard time even finding it. I wish they could make it at least 3 times bigger than what it is now.

Great for budding Explorers...
This is a great set for youngsters looking to learn about space and it's wonders. It does contain smaller pieces though and the plastic domes that are for the star patterns is a bit on the flimsy side. My son snapped the Northern hemisphere into three pieces. Otherwise a nice introductory set to set them star gazing!

So good, I had to buy a 2nd
I purchased this toy once for my 5 year old and he LOVED it. The planet part got stepped on by his brother and broke, so he cried for a new one and I had to do it. He loves this with the stars in his room and even carries the planets around and plays with them. Perfect for kids who love space and planets!

planets of fun
We enjoy our planets, my daughter keeps them out and shows all her friends. The light isn't great, it just shows white dots around the ceiling, but with that being said my little girl thinks it's great in her room at night.

One of the most horrible and inaccurate toys EVER
One of the most horrible and inaccurate toys EVER. It feels like the toy will fall apart any time. The engine is super super noisy. The planets won't stay in their place. The batteries are quickly drained. All planets spin at the same time/same speed, not individually... etc... etc... etc... etc... etc... etc...,
