Brass…added tone..;)
Did you know that there is hidden tone in brass button straps?!! I sure didn’t ;)Joking aside, these are awesome. Just a touch of class without being over the top. Solid button and screw. Doesn’t strip out easily.

Great for kids
I do t use this personally. I bought it because guitar straps for small kids are almost nonexistent and the ones out there have zero padding. My 5 year old loves this. he could play for hours now. Without the pad he could only last 30-45 minutes before the strap starts bothering him

Solid Brass, Adds a Little Class
Being slightly OC, I looked at a LOT of these, and this one won out. Mainly, I loved the fact that it was solid brass. I was not disappointed. It's sturdy and easy to install, but most of all, it's solid brass :-) !

Useful for Pacemaker Wearers
I'd like to suggest these for pacemaker wearers. My pacemaker is located on my upper left chest near my shoulder, just about where a guitar strap passes over the shoulder. The foam–filled pads keep the strap about an inch up pff of the pacemaker so that the strap never touches it. These are also useful for providing additional padding for backpack straps.

Doesn't come with a felt washer
So I used one from the hardware store. Otherwise went in really easily and look good.To install:1) locate the spot you'd like to install to (I did mine on the underside of the neck on my acoustic guitar), tape everything for 4 inches around it with masking tape in case your drill jumps on you (don't want to scratch your guitar's finish).2) find a drill bit that is the right size by holding the screw up behind the drill bit and making sure that just a little bit of the threads of the screw show through behind the bit.3) assemble the strap button and measure how much of the screw will go into the guitar by holding the drill bit up to it. wrap a small piece of masking tape around the drill bit at the same length as you measure in this step. This ensure your hole is exactly as deep as it needs to be for the screw.4) mark the place you want the strap button with a felt marker (This will be on the tape since you taped the whole area)5) drill the hole to the depth you measure with the tape5) rub the screw on a bar of soap to lube it up to make it go in really easily and prevent cracking6) use a screw driver to screw the assempbled strap button in. It should be in pretty tight with your hand, but don't use a drill for this.7) Attach the strap and be sure to use a strap lock :)

Great way to make a cheap strap comfortable
I wanted to buy a more expensive strap for my son. We were not sure what size so we bought an inexpensive nylon strap. Adding this item saved us half of the money the other setup would have cost. this is the way to go. It fits the strap snug and stays in place. Highly recommend.

Simple, Effective, and a good value
Simple, easy to install with a little know-how. Mask off location on Guitar, Drill, lube screw, and don't overtighten.

Disappointed
I don't know if it's because I'm really short, but this actually makes my shoulder hurt faster and even more than when I don't use it with my leather strap. I find it very stiff and uncomfortable.
