Does not need to be refrigerated unless desired. I keep mine in the cupboard and it was still good after 3 months. Probably last longer in the refrigerator.

I honestly do not know what the shelf life of Tamarind paste is as I generally go through it within 6 months. I live in Colorado and leave it on the shelf with the molasses which is about the same consistency, it seems to be fine. A quick Google search says that the stuff has pretty much an indefinite shelf life but I would imagine that is in a cool dry and dark place.Once you start using Tamicon Tamarind paste you will probably only need worry about getting another because it can be used in so many things. Enjoy

Love the taste

I love this product. I mix it with water for a refreshing drink. I do not add sugar so it is a bit sour but I love the taste. It does work as a laxative so be careful.
