This kit is very well put together and thought out! I’ve never embroidered and this comes with everything you need. The quality of the patterns and floss is great!I liked the combination of the paper instructions and instructional video that is available. Very comprehensive and easy to follow.Only critique is that the eyes of the included needles are too small to use the threading tools easily; you can’t pull the meta tool through the eyes with the floss, especially if you are using 6 strands of floss. Had to manually thread much of the floss, which could be difficult for someone who lacks/has diminished fine motor skills.Otherwise, great product and will likely order another kit from this seller.

I learned to embroider from this instructional kit that has access to corresponding video. There is a picture book plus all the tools you need. It is good quality and the practice patterns lead you to be able to make the first embroidered design. I ordered a second set after that. Lynn

I'm missing the thread cutter from my kit, but everything looks amazing. Each piece of fabric as a corresponding sheet that says what each stitch is and then on the back there are picture instructions. I also see a link to YouTube videos as well as an Instagram page. Very excited to try it all!**UPDATE**The needle threader broke before I was done with the first sheet.And the instruction video isn't super helpful. It shows someone doing all the stitches but no verbal explanations and it wasn't very slow.It's still a good beginner kit to learn on and the needles are sturdy -- as long as you don't mind possibly looking up different YouTube videos to learn the different stitches. If you bought all the items separately it would easily run you double what this kit costs, so it's still a good deal.

For a beginner in sewing, it is a great kit! The instructions are clear and you have the option of watching videos.

For starters I got this kit because of the pattern and I wanted to learn the basic stitches. I am a complete beginner this is the first pattern I used and here are three tips I would recommend.1. Use the bigger eyed needle for easier use the little threader broke I was recommended to fix it with hot glue or another type of glue but when I switched the needle out I didn't need the threader.2. The thread is cute that it comes with but when I switched the DMC branded thread it went a lot smoother.3. I would recommend watching the youtube video on a laptop while you do the stiches so you can pause it. The video is excellent.I gave it 5 star because the cost of the kit is 100% worth it. It came with the floss, needles, instructions, 3 patterns, 1 ring. The ring works really well I will end up using it again for other projects. I love the video too the that they have that goes with it. This was a great value for what it was. I would consider buying it again and recommend it for a starter. The ink on the pattern is washable so if you don't want it saying S1 or something and you only wanted the stitches like myself you can wash that other part off. I would recommend waiting until you did the entire embroidery because if you do it on part of it the entire thing will disappear. They have multiple warnings of this on the packaging. Great product very happy with it.

Gotta admit was a little disappointed. The printed fabric is well done and the designs are a delight however, when you put a picture of 3 completed projects each with a hoop and then the kit only contains ONE hoop when the intention is to display the finished items in a hoop it seems there should have been 3 hoops included as the full kit. We also found the skinny instruction manual a bit of a let down. So the bits we got were good but for the price we felt a little shorted. Just my 2 cents.

This is the absolute best way to learn how to do embroidery! Not only is the kit beautiful, the YouTube video gives clear, step-by-step instructions for every single step. It is the perfect kit for a beginner who has never picked up a needle before.
