I bought this with reservation due to other reviews, however this has been a great purchase! I remodeled my bathroom and thought this would be a good idea. It was very easy to hook up and set up with my Google home device. I hooked the Bluetooth speaker up via my phone and it sounds good! Yes you do have to reconnect the speaker everytime you use it but that takes a whopping 30 seconds! I love using my voice to turn it on and off and change colors. I am definitely happy and will buy more!

I picked this light up in June 2025 and gave it a fair shot. By September 2025, it’s clear this thing is a trash for IOS users. Installation is simple, but the app setup feels like solving a puzzle no one asked for. It worked flawlessly for a few days, then completely pooped the bed. Now it only functions as a basic light. The app refuses to stay connected, forcing a full reset every single time I want to use its “smart” features. After enough frustration, I tapped out… If you’re on iOS, skip the headache and get a product that actually work.

This is a difficult one to review. I will say ultimately the product as a Bluetooth speaker / light device is good. However, as described and sold on Amazon it did not work as expected. I was led to believe that I would be able to hook this up to Google home, and control it through that method using the Google home assistant, but that is not the case. All you can do is connect your cell phone or other Bluetooth enabled device to the speaker so if that's all you need this works great but if you're thinking about connecting it to the rest of your lights fans refrigerators and things have that nature it will not work. I also called the company and they told me that even the instructions that are included with it are incorrect, they were apologetic, but that was it they didn't offer me anything other than understanding of my return of the product. However, I did not return the product even though I wanted to, because it was already installed and it wasn't worth the effort to remove it box it drive to the store, and send it back so I just absorb the cost as a lesson learned.

The good: The light is bright, super bright on white, pretty bright on the colors It connected to the SmartThings app right away(on Android) You can change the light's color, color temperature and dim the light in the app The speaker sounds ok. Super easy install. The bad: This will not connect to Amazon Alexa with Zigbee no matter what you try. They flat out lied about that. Even if you did connect it to Alexa, you would need an Alexa device (echo, dot etc) to play the music through the speaker. At that point, you may as well just play the music on the Alexa device. But it would have been nice to control the light with Alexa. If you are ok with using the SmartThings app to control the light, and your phone to play music on the speaker, this light/speaker combo is great for the money.

We previously had a GE speaker light and this one sounds much better! It's great for music or podcasts in the shower. The zigbee light works great as well and connects with home assistant. I do recommend getting a zigbee smart switch (inovelli Blue dimmer is great) and using it in smart bulb mode. Also, you will need a zigbee router very near by (if you don't have a zigbee switch) or it won't pair.

I can’t control the light through the SmartThings app except turning it on and off. It constantly disconnects every 5 seconds or so. I can’t even do a firmware update. It may be an IOS thing but the light does not work as advertised through the app. It won’t dim, change colors, or lighting hue, it just disconnects whenever I press a button in the app. It does work as a pure Bluetooth speaker even if nowhere in the instructions does it tell you that you have to turn it off and on 5-6 times to put it in discovery mode (found that out by accident). If you have a kid that likes flipping light switches, expect to re-pair every time they go on a flip switch rage because the light will reset and act like a totally new device. I do not recommend these lights unless it’s for a cheap standalone overhead Bluetooth speaker. I could see it as a single porch or bathroom speaker but that’s about it.

It's a great way to swap out old can light fixtures with the added benefit of amazing sound. Does not dim from wall switch and must use phone/app to dim is only minor drawback. Overall an ingenious way to add light n sound ambiance to any room
