I got this for a dirt bike battery project and so far it has worked fine. The BMS does have a balance charger, though it is passive balance and should be checked every so often. the temperature probe is nice, and hopefully the batteries never get hot enough to need it. It has the balance leads connector, and it was a good length for me to not need to extend it. I haven't shorted the battery to test the BMS, but I'm hoping the protection features kick in when needed.

First, they sent me a used one but i immediately requested a replacement. It doesn't have a way to connect an on/off switch which was a bummer. But it's been on my battery now for 3 weeks and so far so good.

If you’re building a brand new pack with minimum internal resistance differences and the mah of each cell isn’t far off this BMS is great. But if not then then this BMS won’t work. The BMS has these parameters because the balancing capability’s aren’t high and so you will need to order one of those JBD bms’s off eBay. Don’t waste your time like I did and get the correct one for your needs it doesn’t matter what the shipping time is just do it right the first time around.
