My hose has needed replaced for a few years. The duct tape that I put on it finally wore out after 3 yrs. I know, I know, I should have bought a new hose long ago. Life gets away from us all. Lol. This was for my DC65 ANIMAL. It was so easy to install. Perfectly fits when the accessory pole is inserted into it when not using it. It seems very sturdy. I have had it installed now for a few weeks and have had no problems at all. Both ends appear to be well secured on to the hose itself. Should I have any problems in the next couple months, I will revise my review. Until then....I do recommend this one and the price was my final buying point.

Thankful to find a good repair/replacemnt hose for my Dyson rather than have ot throw it away. He hose failed due to bending when the hose was pulled out for use vacuuming cobwebs and such over head..

Replacement hose is of similar quality as original. Instruction to remove/replace the hose was not included, however there are several "how tos" on youtube - very easy. As noted by other reviewers, (1) there is a little wiggle room at the connection point... however, when the vacuum is turned on, the suction stabilizes it; and, (2) the little "o-ring" dislodged when I removed the wand...I put 3 very small dots of adhesive onto the ring and reinserted it, letting the glue dry before reinstalling the wand....quick fix. I vacuum 4-5 times a week always using the hose/wand. The amount of dirt (lint, animal fur, but more importantly, the fine grey dust) is the same as with the original hose. I am happy with this purchase.

Had a split hose on my Dyson Animal 2 and the replacement cost from Dyson was twice the price of this. It fit perfectly and simply in less than a minute and works great. Would highly recommend.
