Great mp3 Player With Great Radio.
Works great. I transfered(drag and drop) all my iTunes files to it after converting them to mp3 format with iTunes and it works perfectly. With the buttons you can look at songs by artist, title, genre or album. The quality seems great, and, after having it two days, can't believe how easy it is to use. After the initial charging I've used it for probably 13 hours and have only had it plugged in and charging to transfer songs. Surprisingly the battery indicator still looks full.I was also surprised how well the radio tuner worked with this. It uses your headphone wires as the antenna. The cheap thin wired ear buds that came with it only found about 6 stations when using scanning feature for stations. But when using my laptop headphones I bought for $12 that had slightly thicker wire it picked up 14 stations. My favorite station wasn't detected so I manually tuned to it and it sounded fine. My guess is that the signal must not be quite strong enough for the scanner to accept. I even walked around listening to this station inside and outside and only had a few times when it sounded bad. Sometimes it had very minimal static I could only hear when there wasn't anything being broadcast(ie between songs). Most of the time I have no noticeable static at all with this station however, even between songs. The scanner saves all stations it accepts to presets you can scroll through so you don't have to scan or manually tune every time you want to change stations. You can also save manually tuned stations to a preset. This radio is very handy if you get tired of listening to your mp3s. It would also come in handy in cases of emergencies. The only drawback I can think of is it's only good for FM no AM capability on this player.I also read on the box where this player comes with a 12 month warranty.UPDATE 11/2/2015I tried creating a play-list with the media monkey software, the device manual doesn't tell you how to get songs in to media monkey, create a play-list with it, or anything else other than how to get the play-list on your player. So once I put some play-lists on the player I noticed media monkey created folders for every album, If I remember right, and put a COPY of every song on my player it to its directory. The problem is when you use the player to list your songs and play them it has two copies of each song. A minor problem as the songs I put on the player could be easily deleted. This fixed that problem. Then I bought some more songs and added them to my player. Figured out how to import them to media monkey, and created new play-lists.But when I synced them to the player the was a major error and a whole bunch of songs were deleted from the player. This isn't a play-list problem, bunches of the songs were actually gone from the player that I had put on just days before. So I deleted everything in the directory, my new songs and the ones media monkey created directories for and added all my mp3's back on to the player, imported to media monkey, created new play-lists and synced. Media monkey made copies in directories I deleted the originals, and problem solved. This might be avoided if you just import from your mp3 directory on your computer and then sync but I don't know. But then I noticed that Media Monkey left 10 songs off the play-list. I had 186 songs in the play-list in the software but on the player I only had 176. I noticed a few of the missing songs had a ) right before the .mp3. So in searching the Internet I found someone else also had the problem using the software to put play-lists on his android device. He noticed other characters at the end of the song name causing the problem as well. He said he managed to get a bunch of his songs back on to the play-list by using media monkey to rename his songs with the bit rate at the end, but he was still missing some. His post was old and media monkey may have been updated since then, as he was missing far more then the 10 I was. His solution might fix the problem entirely now, but, I don't know as I haven't felt like trying to figure out how to get the software to rename my songs. So I am docking my review one star for all the problems I've had and for the manual not explaining how to use media monkey.

Works Perfectly
The player came uncharged, but that's alright because it charges quickly. The battery also lasts enough for a whole day of regular listening. When attempting to transfer songs to the player, I had a bit of trouble because I had the USB-C already connected to the player when I plugged it into the computer, however, upon disconnecting the USB-C and reconnecting, the MP3 appeared on the computer, and I was able to transfer my music easily.I found that you have to create playlists directly on the MP3 instead of on the computer which sucks a bit, but it's not that difficult. When you are on the song screen, press M (top button) and scroll down to where it says add to playlist. If you don't want the player to sleep after a few minutes of paused music, go to Settings, Sleep Timer, then Off. It was my main turn off from the device until I realised this. Long press on the M to lock the MP3 from making any accidental presses when it's in your pocket. A lot of the features are found by just messing around, so I suggest playing around with it for a bit to figure out everything it can do which is quite a lot.Videos should be saved as .amv files and e-books as .txt files :)Overall, it works very well, and it's very sturdy and simple to use once you get the hang of it.

Awful Product. Terrible customer Service. Disappearing Playlists. Missing music from playlists.
The Good. The Bad. The Ugly. Nice packaging. Smaller and more lightweight than my Sony MP3 (not that it is a good thing, just stating a fact). I purchased this to "give it a shot" because my SONY MP3 NWZ-E385 16gb walkman started having a lot of trouble restarting and freezing (this after only a month, having had my previous earlier SONY model 8gb walkman for 6 years with no problems until it died). Because it was purchased as a "refurb" on Amazon, I had no warranty. The reason I chose this model of AGPTEK was because it had a slot for a micro SD card and was affordable. I purchased a 64 gb micro SD card. I was already using the AGPtek recommended Media Go with my Sony MP3, so transferring my music and playlists was a breeze. Transfer to the micro SD was rapid. I placed about half of the music on the player itself (about 1000 songs and 6 playlists). I placed about 1000 songs and another 6 playlists from those songs on the micro SD card. The micro SD card can be accessed by using the micro SD card placed in the adapter and inserted into the USB of your computer. Or while the AGPTek is plugged into your computer, MEDIA GO lets you choose which storage option easily (the micro SD (called the card folder) or the player itself: called the local folder). Each still has a ton of room left! I wish SONY Walkman had this micro SD card option. The GOOD news ends there. The bad. Fully charged, I went to work and looked through my playlists to begin my day. I wear gloves all day so having a playlist that lasts 4, 6, 8 hours or more is extremely useful so I don't have to go back to the player menu and remove my gloves. I noticed some of the playlists I had added to the player (local folder) and to the SD card (card folder) were missing. Hmm. Okay. I figured I must have done something wrong. So I listened to a couple of playlists that were showing up. Not having the computer with me, I could not verify how many tracks should be in the playlist, but I started to think, some stuff is missing. Back home that night, I plugged the player back in. Interesting, all playlists in both locations show they ARE there. But they were missing when trying to access them that day. I double checked the tracks that should be in each playlist, hmmmmm, a lot of tracks were missing! So I tried to "re-put" the playlists but each time Media Go would say those were already in the playlist. I did this double checking every single album, every single playlist. Fully charged, back to work the next day. SAME PROBLEMS. I also use my playlists for themed parties. It is essential to know that the playlist will be there and all the songs/tracks are included. Over the next couple of weeks I tried to solve the issue myself. I removed everything from both locations and started over completely....a couple of times. The playlists that didn't show up at all always changed. One day they were there, the next day they were gone. However, the missing tracks from the playlists never showed up. I read over every question submitted on the Agptek forums and Q&A site. I submitted the problem on the AGPTEK Q&A site on around July 14, 2016 with no reply. I also tried to submit with the form on the 'contact us in agptek' website but an error message keeps popping up. Note: when the AGPtek is plugged into the computer and you access it in Media Go or Windows Media Player, all of the playlists play perfectly. The UGLY. I emailed "Leo" at AGPTEK (as instructed on the limited warranty card) beginning July 24. In 3 weeks time we have went back and forth and back and forth. I asked them for help and that I would post the solution to Amazon.com to help out others with the same problem. I have spent countless hours trying to go through the playlists to tell them exactly which songs were missing. The very first email "he" replied to, he suggested to update the firmware. I did. No resolution. I went so far as to screen shot my computer and to send them a 9 page color .pdf document. I showed them some of the playlists that had tracks missing from both locations (micro SD and the player itself) and how they look when the mp3 is plugged into the computer (complete) and what the original playlists and albums look like in Media Go. I typed out the song information (file size, etc) for many that were missing. I also sent them a photo of my AGPTek screen so they could see how it looks on the player. I have spent more than 10 hours on this and trying to make it as simple for them to understand so they can send me a solution. (I have a lot of Asian and international friends, so I'm used to breaking down the language to make it as easy as possible). Each response from "leo" seemed to be more and more confusing and evasive. (it no longer seems like a language barrier but a stubborn attempt to push me off) For several emails they only focused on the SD card. (the problem is the same on the player itself and the SD card). At one point, even after the in-depth .pdf, they wanted me to video my player and send them a video of the problem. Are you kidding me? One email response from them included a link to a brief youtube video on how to create and transfer playlists from Media Go to the AGPTEk. I had already told them I did it successfully and had been using Media GO for a year with my Sony Walkman. Another useless response. At one point I asked if they ever read the .pdf file I sent to them. When they became obsessed with the SD card, I asked, AGAIN, what about the player itself?? Forget about the SD card, what about the same problem that the AGPTEK player is having? No response. Two things they will have you check is: "And the player support mp3 format:Bit rate(8kbps-320kbps);Sampling rate:(8KHz-48KHz)"-they wanted me to check everything or send them the songs. Say what? There are HUNDREDS of missing songs. I checked everything myself and ALL of my stuff met these requirements. All of my albums are English titles with no strange characters (something I read on a Q&A). Remember everything I put on there was on my Sony Walkman with no troubles. If you have ever been swindled you know that one thing a swindler will do it to talk in circles. Talking in circles to confuse you so that in the end you don't even remember your original question or problem. I believe this company is a joke. The customer service is terrible. Not only is the problem as stated simple to understand, they have never once offered for me to send it back (I saved everything and the box) to have a repair done. On their warranty card it states "AGPtek offers a warranty of 6 months", but get this, it goes on to say, "if you leave a good user rating for our product, the warranty date can be extended to 12 months as an extra return for you". However, on the box itself it states "5. The device comes with 12 months warranty. Please contact us at [email protected] for granting 60 days money back protection." I am sure they are hoping I will give up and go away. Time for me to inquire about this money back protection. Wish me luck. BTW, my husband kept searching and found more people with the same problems with this player. Learn from our mistakes. BUYER BEWARE.
