Has a charge meter to show capacity
Easy to tell if the battery is charged. Before you had to put the battery in your camera and turn it on to see if the battery was charged

Works great - but power hungry
This works great and it's a good value, but be aware that it is fairly demanding of the USB power source. I'm not sure what the cutoff is (needs >>2A?) but on a low power source (1.5A?) it doesn't charge - it fails to even power up, making it appear to be broken.
