Quiet, easy install, and awesome customer service
I may have written one or two reviews in my life, usually for bad products. I have honestly never found a product that I was so pleased with I felt that I should write a review. We searched for blinds for our new house for months, all the box stores, the custom window treatment stores, etc. No matter how you slice it, even with the best sales of the year you will pay $400 per window for basic motorization at these places, more if its smart. We found Yoolax and bought all the samples, finally settling on different selections for every room because there were so many great color selections. I screwed up my order and decided to downgrade to the RF only hub (I bought a Bond bridge for my fans already, and this saves $40 per blind). The seller responded immediately, downgraded the motor to the RF motor that I wanted, and even threw in an extra remote just to be nice. Delivery took 7 days to the eastern US during the holiday season, so even with the customization, they are doing well with shipping. Installation was extremely simple, note that the instructions to leave something to be desired, and for my inside window installation it was much better to mount the brackets to the vertical sides of the window opening rather than the top. This allows the shade to sit much closer to the top of the window, and must be the intended location by the manufacturer because my blinds opened EXACTLY to the bottom of the window opening, I didnt have to do any fine tuning at all. With the RF motor, the bond hub picked the remote up immediately, imported all the controls, and I was controlling my shades with my Alexa, phone, remote and a wall switch all within minutes. I was worried about the RF motor being an older or less reliable version, but it is much quieter than expected and seems to have no integration issues with my smart systems. Only things I wish they did differently 1) The remotes are actually really nice looking, and magnetically drop into their mount which is nice, however, the remote cannot seem to control all the blinds at once like my smart system does. That would be a nice feature. 2) This may be fixed on the newer system and isnt that big of a deal since they do include a power cord. I would prefer it to be upgraded to USB-C from micro-USB as I am doing my best to get rid of all the older Micro USB throughout my house and just have one type of charging cord. Just a minor annoyance that Micro-USB is still around. Overall, I would strongly recommend these blinds. For the price of a dumb blind from a box store you are getting a high quality smart blind.

Versitle design, standard roll and reverse roll are switchable.
I chose this brand among several options because they offered samples before purchasing. This is critical for me to select right color and pattern. The installation is relatively easy. When I ordered it, I chose the reverse roll. But when I tried to install it, I changed my mind and wanted to do standard roll backside so that the shade is closer to the window. I thought about it and realized that I could open one side and reverse the roll to achieve that. The only difference is that the motor is on the right side instead of left side. That is totally fine. The instruction for the Alexa setup is a little bit misleading as it says to install "Brand app". It turned out to be Youlax. As soon as I got that from customer service, the setup is done and I can run it with remote control, my phone and Alexa. Very neat product!

Good value, great purchase
I'm always very hesitant to order big ticket items from online vendors without being able to see and experience the products firsthand. I imagine many of us are the same and keep these types of items in their wish lists for months or years on end, periodically coming back to view their lists and fight that internal struggle time and again. In this case, the fates intervened and I had to pull the trigger on shades immediately, so after quadruple-checking the dimensions and talking through it over and over with the wife, I decided to drop close to a grand on these motorized blinds from Yoolax that I had never before seen in person. I decided to opt in for faster delivery (which I almost never do) because we wanted the blinds asap. It's been only a few days in, but, at this point, I can say that it was a good purchase. So much so that all of the other unrelated items in my wish list have benefitted from this rewarded faith and have moved up a few percentage points in the purchase probability category. There was some anxiety with the installation, such as whether I could screw in the anchors straight enough to mount the blinds evenly, but that proved to be unwarranted as the blinds have a little bit of give to them and snap in relatively easily. There was also a lot of frustration when I was unable to pair the remote, especially since I'm in the computer/electronics industry and build IoT devices as a hobby. This turned out to be due to the fact that the battery I had put in was strong enough to allow the remote to turn on, but too weak to send out an actual signal. FYI - the remote doesn't come with the required CR2032 battery, so you have to get your own. When I reached out to their customer service via Amazon message, they were quick to respond and offer a WhatsApp id for me to chat with. As for the shades themselves, they look great and operate smoothly. The 85% blackout was perfect for this corner and I don't regret spending a little more for the fabric-covered rod. Even though I would have preferred an inside-mounted version, I had to get the outside-mounted. The event I alluded to above was getting window replacements and realizing that the new windows were much thicker and wouldn't allow me to re-install the previous inside-mounted blinds. Even though it was a big purchase, I doubt I would be able to find similar pricing elsewhere, especially when it has to be custom-made for your specific window size. I'm already messaging back with Yoolax to see if they can manufacture a custom size for me that would be wider than the options offered. In summary - if you're in need but in doubt, make the purchase.

Nice quality. Reasonable price.
Nice quality. Reasonable price. I use both Google Home and Home Assistant. I now have them setup in both, and with a cheap Lux sensor, why blinds work automagically at sunrise and sunset. I find that while I can do this without, it is a more stable connection using the Yoolax Bluetooth Gateway, which I did not order with the blinds, but decided to buy one after getting them. I am expecting one more that I ordered with the zigbee motor. Not sure why now. 4 only because i never give a 5 on something I've only had a couple days. May revisit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Effortless Darkness & Smart Convenience in One Sleek Shade
I just installed the Yoolax Motorized Blackout Roller Shade, and it's an absolute game-changer for my home. The upgraded double-sided blackout fabric blocks nearly all sunlight—perfect for midday naps or movie afternoons. Amazon Yoolax Setting it up was a breeze: cordless design, remote control, and seamless integration with Alexa, Google Home, and HomeKit means I can schedule it to close automatically or adjust it with just my voice. Yoolax +1 The option to control up to 16 shades simultaneously is a game changer for managing light throughout the house. Yoolax +1 The battery lasts 4–6 months on a single charge, and it even supports solar or USB charging for added flexibility. Yoolax +1 The cordless look keeps everything clean and safe—especially around kids and pets. Yoolax +1 Would highly recommend for anyone wanting smart, stylish, and efficient light control with minimal effort. Love how it just makes life simpler (and darker when I need it!).

I'll never order window coverings the old way again.
I am blown away by the quality for the price. Our first shade just arrived, it took less than 15 minutes to install and looks fabulous. Fits the window perfectly. Heading to order more now. If you're concerned about ordering window coverings in this way, don't be. Highly recommend. It's disrupting the industry!

Really Excellent Product
A+ experience. Quality is high. Product is as described. Correspondence / help emails were all responded to within 24 hours. The products work just as described. I bought seven shades (six of which were each over 6 feet long), the linen beige 50% blackout ones. All work great with the recommended Alexa model. I think it was worth it to pay for the matching fabric wrapped valance and bottom rods. They look really great. The shades mount fairly easily. It did require some patience (for me, at least) to learn how to program them with Alexa and with each other (renaming them, etc.). They come pre-programmed from the factory, and auto assigned a number to the Lightwheel remote (first order is #1, second #2, etc) but I didn't order them all at once and didn't order them in the sequence I wanted them installed, so I had to reprogram them. In other words, my set up is seven shades across a wall. I wanted them to be numbers 1-7, left to right. But I ordered the middle one first to test the shade out and it comes pre-programmed as #1. So then when I ordered the rest, my left to right set up would have been 2, 3, 4, 1, 5, 6, 7 and I wanted them sequential 1-7. But if you're comfortable with simple tech, it doesn't take long. Their customer service provided instructions upon request and I was able to reprogram them to my specification. This was a little nit picky on my part. Another buyer probably won't have this issue. They even facilitated a very easy return of a component that I ended up not needing. I don't normally leave reviews, but this experience certainly deserves it. I would buy these again. A friend told me that similar shades from a local company would cost five times what I paid for these. Really an excellent product and company! If you're not sure, try ordering one first and see if you like it (that's what I did). Also, I ordered my first through Amazon. But I found it easier to go directly through their website for the next six shades.

Work great, easy to install, works well with Alexa
I finally convinced my parents to replace their old ratty bamboo manual shade on the sliding door. This blind is perfect. I looked around, but this was a good price and had good ratings on Amazon. I got the Bluetooth hub so i could control the shade with Alexa. This is nice because I can set schedules for automated opening and closing. The directions are pretty good, but it wasn't clear that you should set up the hub first, if you are using one, then set up the shade as a sub device to that hub. That way you can control it with Alexa. If you set it up directly to your phone and then add a hub, delete the shade from your app then re-add it as a sub. Otherwise, I just tell Alexa to set it to a percentage, 100% being closed. Very good build quality, the cloth-covered valence was well worth it and well done, as with the covered weight bar. I can't figure out how to get the valence off to reach all the buttons. To activate and enter pairing mode, remove the plug from the bottom of the motor end of the unit. I had to get a pair of needle nosed pliers to reach up and get it out.
