First time I saw one I thought you could pour whisky in it. Very sturdy and strong and very effective. Not for booze, but for power and lots of it. An excellent power supply, for its size, capacity and charging power as well, I will get another one.

I've been looking for a replacement for an old power bank when I stumbled across a review of the Elecom Nestout series. As soon as I saw "IP67" you had my full attention. This power bank is for my emergency use, when you aren't likely to be warm, dry & cozy. I've never understood why more outdoor products (I'm looking at you, headlamps) are shown in rainy or snowy conditions but are in fact barely water resistant. Weight & size are also a factor as you might be on foot. I am happy to report that the Nestout dimensions noted are accurate, but they are the total _envelope_ dimensions -- in practice, the unit seems much smaller. I do suggest double-checking dimensions on the Elecom site, since at least one seller had the wrong dimensions listed for the 10000 mAh unit. The unit offers USB A (output) & USB C (input & output) under a threaded, o-ring sealed cap. A recessed button activates the charge indicator & also 2 other functions, depending on how long you hold it (a reminder is printed next to the button). For complete disclosure, I haven't had it long enough to put it through much stress, but I'm very pleased so far. The overall ruggedness & high IP rating is a nice upgrade from other, quite delicate power banks. The only thing I would change would be that this unit is Li-Ion & I'd prefer LiPo if I had a choice.

I bought this battery with a PD cable and adapter to operate my (tr)uSDX. This thing is fantastic! Pricey? Well sure it is, but if you're using it in a get-home bag, and your ham radio and equipment are in a waterproof pelican case, you never have to worry about gettng on the air. Definitely worth the money, and it charges quickly as well.

I purchased this item about 6 mos back along with the LED Flash-1 light attachment for use when camping. On September 26 Hurricane Helene began to make herself felt in my area of the NC mountains. As of this posting I have been without power for a week. This unit along with the LED attachment have given me unbeatable power during the storm and in the week following. I used the battery cell to provide light and power my phone in the night and then I recharge as needed with the generator during the day. But I must say, recharging is not needed daily!! I was soo impressed with this 10,000 mAh battery cell that I went ahead and ordered the 15,000 mAh version and the two panel solar charger. Now I will be ready for longer endurance and for use on multiple pieces of equipment. Hurricane Helene made me a believer in Nestout Gear!! One will always be in my SHTF bag without question.

Works as intended. Been using it for travel overseas for work and it’s holding up well so far. The top closure is great for sandstorms.

I’ve left some scathing reviews for other gear for cold weather hiking in the Adirondacks. This is not that gear.EXCELLENT portable battery. Holds a charge even in extreme cold temperatures if you take care to pack it carefully.Heavy, but you can’t get around that.
